That's great! One correction, though, I'm the black and white zebra. You went by me on the outside of turn one. The solid white, green wheel car is Gabriel Albani. That start was intense. All of the slower cars in the front, damp track....yikes. I ended up going off the inside.

This was a longer race with many classes including STU - ST6. Not sure if this is usual. Hope to see you at the track before it gets too hot!

Man, you were flying. I see that bump in Little Bend now. I need to decide between ST3 and ST4. What spacers, if any, are you running with your 315s?

Is that you, Larry? AIM Smartycam matched with original solo DL. Very plug and play with overlay. Downside is it’s expensive compared to other options. Nice disco moves, BTW. See you next time!

Not much - full exhaust with high flow cats, AA filter and BPM tune. Good for maybe 25 more HP. I sold the car in early 2021. 😢

This is the 1.7 CCW. When is your NASA race? Way to kick some butt at ECR yesterday! I was running DH sticky tires yesterday so you might watch some of my earlier vids with street tires - at least two seconds a lap slower. I may have to come instruct or do the DE so I can watch you. What car will you be using?

Great to meet you, too, Alex! Nicely done! You were on street tires, right? The next time we run together, we should do some lead-follow trading out positions. I was definitely gunning for the 1:19s and hit several during this session, but I had the sticky DHs. Much more fun to have a buddy to run with.

@@danielboojie Yeah, I was on "200 TW" Yokohama A052s in that session. I would expect them to be in the same realm as DHs, maybe a half a second slower per lap. Although I've never run full slicks. I switched to Hankook RS4s just to have fun on for the afternoon. I ran the 19 and then shut it down and let you pass because tires are expensive lol. I'd be down for some lead-follow next time! Sounds fun!

Seems like the most speed to gain over time is through Richochet and Big Bend. The entry into Rattlesnake has options as well - I like the inside line and trail break at the limit through the first right hand turn. I was taking it a bit wider than usual, but not as wide as most drivers.

The S65 is what’s kept me in this series for over ten years. I still can’t wait to jump in the car, roll the windows down and listen to the symphony as I head to grab the groceries. Helps that the external mic is taped to the bumper. 😜

3800 lbs with me. No aero, but I have BBK, dampers and slicks. The Pirelli DHs definitely added a second or two. Still scared and have time in turn 1, 9-10 and go flat down the hill through 14.

I've completely changed my mind on these tires. I now believe that these are probably the best bang for the buck HPDE tire out there. That said, you'll give up a second or two, and I have to drive these with more slip angle than stickier tires. At the time, I had been running some pretty sticky tires so these took me a while to modify my driving style - especially smooth brake release with a pretty aggressive track pad. I usually go through tires in 4 track days including NT-01s and RE71Rs. The RS-4s are at least twice as durable. Like the man said, opinions are a dime-a-dozen, but these are pretty amazing if you're not trying to win the HPDE trophy.

The M3’s prior to 2011 had rod bearing problems. Even though mine was a 2011, it had some expensive issues. I now have a Camaro (with a warranty).

Hey Tim - I spliced an external mic to the Aim mic. I tape it to the rear bumper. Not too difficult. Your GT3 would sound amazing with this setup! See you soon. -Daniel

I appreciate the feedback, Blake. I’m thinking it’s a combination of things. I focus on applying throttle ASAP but I get understeer as you can see by my corrections. Perhaps smoother inputs would help. Tires are certainly a factor, but I think suspension is key. I’ve been running the rear very stiff, as I have OEM subframe bushings. I’m going to dial out rebound in the rear to see if that helps. Whatever the case, you’re carrying way more speed just about everywhere - great driving and hanging out with you this year. I’m looking at returning in Feb with TDE. Hit me up if you have more recommendations. Cheers!

Do you still have car? Do you or did you experience pad knock back with Stoptech brakes? Have stoptech trophy kit and pad knock back is horrible on my car. I’ve tried new wheel bearings. Didn’t solve issue.
