I'm with those first clappers. The opening guitar notes to this song are gorgeous and unforgettable. We are so lucky that her friend, actor Ethan Hawke, made director Ben Stiller listen to a cassette tape of this song. Ben decided that it belonged in the movie soundtrack to "Reality Bites," which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January 1994. Later that spring, "Stay (I Missed You)" was released as the first single from the soundtrack album and shot up to #1 on the charts in both the U.S. and Canada --- making Lisa Loeb the first singer without a recording contract to have a #1 record.

I was approached by the staff at the Orpheum Theatre asking if I would be OK with sharing my seat so that Brandi Carlile could sing a song from the box seats. I agreed, and in all honesty I knew this may happen since I had seen her do it before. Although I didn’t think it would be quite like this. Thank you Brandi for a magical little treat to make a night super special for me and my friend.

Great song and a great band! Love this band and the positive message that they are spreading to fight hate and racism! We need more bands like this today. Everybody is so afraid to speak their mind and rock the boat. Their fear is because of their peers!
