"Janet Planet" - Review There are movies that are objectively BAD films, but that are eminently enjoyable. Conversely, there are objectively GOOD films which folks can find unenjoyable. Triversely (that's a word now; I typed it; it's mine), there are films which are exactly what they are: GOOD or BAD films which are GOOD or BAD. I like How they left a lane for fire and ambulance
We can see (and do, actually) how the timelines could muddle the film. Mark didn't NEED those, but they weren't a deal breaker for him. Thanks for your thoughts!
I love Andrew to death but this movie didn’t do it for me… I felt like they tried so hard to make him adorable, when he naturally is!! And the three time lines made it more difficult to connect with them!
I looked in three theaters and couldn’t find any Beetlejuice merchandise because everything got sold out very fast all I could find is limited edition Fanta sodas from various stores around my hometown of Leeds. The problem with these legacy sequels is a symptom of too many characters at once they could have taken out the deetz family of the movie all together. They hyped up Delores to be this Morticia Addams stand in and really did nothing with her only saving grace was Willem Defoe he is great for every role he plays. They added baby Beetlejuice in so they can sell merchandise of him just like Star Wars with baby yoda and the marshmallow man minis in ghostbusters in which it’s been done to death the film had an F bomb but they bleeped it out and this should have been an Rated R not pg-13 translated as 12-A in the United Kingdom. The reason why they couldn’t get Alec Baldwin due of something that he did behind the scenes of an western that he was filming and Geena Davis wasn’t asked so Burton wrote them out by saying there was an loophole in the handbook for the recently deceased to have Adam and Barbara move on. Lastly. They should have done more with Deloris to flush out her character more.
Where can this movie be viewed??? May 2024 cant find it ANYWHERE.
I just wanna meet him already (ugly cries)

Just watched this movie on Tubi tonight it was very Good I would recommend it 🙂👍
This movie wasn’t even so bad it’s good, it was just bad and boring. You could feel that no one cared about this material, with poor dialogue and bland performances. The action was so weak and the villain was pathetic. One of the worst comic book movies ever and worst of this year. Great review 👍
While I didn’t flat out love this movie, mostly from it being too long in my opinion. This was still a great movie. Loved the performances, especially DiCaprio and Gladstone, and the build up to the investigation (again, even if it took a little too much time to get there). I will not be surprised to see this win Oscars. And I think it certainly deserves to. Great review!
This is FICTION PEOPLE
They cut the playground scene that was fully built and eventually resorted to a miniature set gag.
I’m excited for the movie!!!!
Thank you so much for this video, I learned so much..
🎉
The Ms.Marvel character and specifically the casting really has been such an amazing addition to the MCU, so much energy, much like how Spider-Man was in the comics
I likened the series to the missing 6 months of Spider-Man's development prior to Tony Stark recruiting him for Civil War. 👍
Awesome thanks for being such a wonderful person!!!!
I really believe it’s these two behind the killings
I'm six minutes into the movie, and I like it so far, good setup... shows the bodycam from both police officers as they investigate a call about a disturbance at an abandoned hospital. Strange sounds and things moving in a room seemingly on its own... when one of them leave a room back to the hallway, nice touch adding an orb (dust or spirit orb).. that was well done, giving an idea of spirit energy present.... so far, like it
where can i watch it
Amazon, Vudu, or UA-cam (all cost $$)
I like the director, Jason Satterlund love seeing his videos on Film Courage
A film made for the biggest screen and best sound! Had a great time with this! Good discussion!
Ah Oh we need to worry about more is people refusing to go and see #FantasticBeastsTheSecretsOfDumbledore all because of her comments; I’d highly encourage and recommend everyone [please Encourage as many other people as you can as well please :-) See it as many times as they can in theaters, and even If possible, buy a ticket for it In place of going to see another movie so that way it still gets money without you actually having to see it multiple times. Buying as many merchandise directly related to it as possible will also truly help. Also remember that if you’re refusing to see it because of #JohnnyDeppIsMyGrindelwald Then please remember that this movie needs to do well so as to give Johnny the chance to actually come back in the Later movies, For the actor who played MacNair The executioner was re-casted for prisoner of Azkaban and then came back for order of the Phoenix. The bottom line is that if #FantasticBeastsTheSecretsOfDumbledore Doesn’t do well, And they don’t make the remaining two movies, then Johnny definitely will never be back as Grindelwald!Plus you also have to remember that it’s about to be a new company with new people over seeing it, So as such you were technically not paying that company and are actually giving more of a chance than not having him actually return. Especially depending on what may happen with the results of his trial that’s going to be happening shortly after the movie comes out, the new people taking over Warner Bros. right before it comes out…… Also remember in regards to her that she doesn’t necessarily get a whole lot of money from this, as well the fact remains that as many people have pointed out that she already has so much money that not supporting the series will not really change any kind of “power“ that you may have against her, and after all the series should not suffer at all because of her for Regardless of what you may think, nothing I repeat nothing will ever ever truly take away what a series overall truly means to you let alone other people, And again it’s not The series that’s the problem at all in any kind of way :-) Also keep in mind that even though it’s not the best example they have at least one transgender person or someone who identifies themselves as “They” in the cast so much for her transphobia……
No way this is based on a true story. For one thing “no witnesses” then who told the story? also no body is that stupid. Only in a “not true story”. Typical movie, victim falls and gets hurt, victim gets gun and of course does stupid thing and criminal gets control of gun. A million places to hide and even the victim said at one point that she use to play hide and seek there. Of course she runs into an open range and hides again a fallen tree. Wow, what about the huge rocks behind her or better, hide somewhere in the mansion. Oh, well.
Lol. We are always skeptical of "based on a true atory" claims. Hollywood stretches that phrase waaayyyy farther than they should.
Thank you so much for watching our film! Appreciate you, be well…all the best! ❤️
👍👍👍👍👍! You could get more fans with Promo-SM!!
Thank you for sharing this. He's just such a good guy.

Guys I'm Italian and I think I can articulate more ideas about this movie than the confusion and blank moments and all yours Idunnoknowww weeeirddd movieeeee
I wouldn't consider, "Bite Me" as 'Visually Stunning'. ....have you not seen the movie *Russian Ark* or *The Qatsi Trilogy* ?
Lol. We don't only talk about VS movies. But if the BEST thing about a movie is that it's VS, that's a bad thing.
@@VisuallyStunningMoviePodcast True. There are tons of indie low budget films that surpass most of the crap coming out of Hollywood these days. I was wondering if you were familiar with the movie "Hourglass Sanatorium" by Wojciech Jerzy Has. It almost feels like a single shot fever dream of a shroom trip. I've watched it multiple times and have come to different conclusions about it.
I'll see if I can track all of these suggestions down. Thanks for pointing them out. 👍
@@David_Lo_Pan If you like that movie, you'll absolutely love "Holy Mountain" by Alejandro Jodorowsky. All of his movies are surrealistic and a bit of a Mind-F. I especially enjoy his biopic Dance of Reality (part 1) & Endless Poetry (part 2). Let me know what you think. I discovered it during the Pandemic and have been recommending it everywhere I can and to all of my friends. You won't find his movies streaming anywhere.
@@Tacit_Tern All of Jodorowsky is on my list after I watched the documentary "Jodorowsky's Dune." I'll get there.
I agree with most of what you said about the movie. It did not need Bradley Cooper hamming up the screen but hard to say because that’s more entertaining then the main story.!
The child actor this is based on was 21 years old in 1973 so he did have these businesses but he was a young man not a kid when he had them. Bradley Cooper plays a real life guy Jon Peters who did in fact date Strisand.
I just reviewed this myself and yes PTA has some kind of obsession with Hain and you can tell just by the way he films her. I also think maybe he wishes he was 15 again and obsessing about her like he does now.
This movie was a mess. Had potential but devolved into a bunch of bad acting, narrative inconsistencies and horror movie cliches.
I was pleasantly surprised that this review is intellectually stimulating and very sensitive to plot, technique and acting nuances. I’m sorry it took me so long to view this because it is one of the better reviews of this film. Unfortunately, Hollywood remains superficial and continues to reward mediocrity.. thank you.
brilliant balls of the mountain goats
Interesting looking film!
Great convo guys and perspectives 💙
I didn’t mind this film. Would never buy it. I did feel some of the parts are scattered and it has trouble identifying itself at times.
I was watching your video just listening what you had to say. You had me up until you had to call Desi a "Brown man." Was that really necessary? He came from a very wealthy Cuban family
I went back and re-listened for this, and when I found it, I recalled it, because we were speaking about the prevalent attitudes/realities of the time. White men were in charge of TV, and the fact that Desi was able to bust through was important in the face of that. I hope you otherwise enjoy what we do here. Have a great holiday!
Nicole Kidman in my opinion was Excellent as Lucille Ball. And Javier Bardem was WONDERFUL as Desi. I enjoyed the supporting cast who were great too. I saw an old interview with Ms. Ball and she was so serious and said I am not a funny person and I don’t think “ funny” it was the writers and Desi that gave her the material to be great. She also called Desi a “loser”. That was kinda funny bc she sounded just like a bitter ex wife. And, yet her 2nd husband is sitting there agreeing with her. I just enjoyed it so much. I like behind the scenes type of stories. They are almost more interesting than the actual characters.
I want to see an actress who actually LOOKS like the character she’s playing. I won’t pay to see this one.
After watching it I kind of wish they would have been brave enough to cast unknowns in the lead roles. The script and nostalgia were strong enough to leave room for a star-making opportunity.
I’m really torn on this one. On a technical level, I thought it was beautifully crafted. The performances, costume design, set design, cinematography, etc. All really good! But the story just left something to be desired for me. I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on it! I reviewed it myself and was curious what others had to say about it. Solid review!
Did you get a screener for this one? I always have an issue getting A24 movies in my town.
We were fortunate enough to have a press screening here.
@@VisuallyStunningMoviePodcast I gotcha that makes sense. Nice review. Looking forward to this one.
Did you hear the Desi laugh?
Glad you liked this film as well. I reviewed it as well. Got a new sub to your channel.
