Far too many mids in modern fuzz boxes especially with EHX keep in mind the point behind using fuzzes is that they were used with single channel amps to boost the output and high frequencies for solos nowadays a fuzz box is used for whaleblubber fat rhythm playing and unfortunately for djenting as well. This killed the 1960s (aka much better IMO) fuzztone guitar sound

For anybody who might be interested in knowing what Chris is using in the video: - The organ is a Korg CX-3 which is a wonderful analog combo organ that is supposed to emulate the sound of the old Hammond B3 - The first pedal is an Electro-Harmonix Black Finger optical tube compressor - The second pedal is an Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man analog delay - The last one is not a pedal, it's a passive direct box by Radial Engineering called "JDI" MK3

reviewed this movie for my now-defunct website years ago and loved it. the plot is almost incoherent, the miniature and cg work is outstanding. its like watching metal gear solid. love this movie, keep it on my shelf next to gantz II and universal soldier: regeneration. it is beautiful.

@DuggMurder yeah dude if I was a famous and successful musician who built my sound around a vintage pedal I would have to be the biggest asshole in the world to collect them instead of just handing them out to the people who request them in youtube comments.

Interesting all the different knobs used on the old Big Muffs. It explains the very bizarre knobs on my 1975 Big Muff.

This movie is not about fuzz. Maybe in the first five minutes they explain a little bit about fuzzes, then all the rest is about the boutique pedals industry. If you are looking for the history of the fuzz (what the name of the movie suggests), I don't recommend to buy it.
