I took my son to see them at MPAC in New Jersey . . . he thought . . . going to see some old timers band . . . he was blown away . . . they were tight, high energy, played hit after hit and even an amazing Chicago cover . . . STILL a GREAT BAND!!!!!!!

Loved them this year (2023) in St Charles, IL. Sounded fantastic - just like they did in the 80's when I discovered them. I would see them every time they come to my area. Don just keeps rocking!

Idk maybe im wrong but i always felt like this was one of the last southern rock style bands still making music an helped transition us to the big hair bands from the early mid eighties,with the Skynard plane crash in 77 an the disco boom,southern rock an rock in general didnt get much air play til about 83 when the California rock style got hott til about 91 lol im jus rattling on lmao 38 special gives ya that good ol rock style,very talented band

The're playing and singing well here it's Don's band nowadays and it sounds good still I would see them if they come to Tulsa again they come every year or two

Don Barnes has been playing that same Les Paul Junior since the 70s. I love it.

This concert ROCKED! What a wall to wall lineup of hits! I love that the band was out there shaking hands, giving high fives and taking pictures afterwards. Don Barnes stayed out a little longer and gave some additional love to fans. He is truly a great human being! Love seeing that he is still out there ROCKING your face off after 50+ years.

Love me some 38. Whole not my favorite album of theirs, I do like A heart needs a second chance.

Don Barnes kicked ass in the eighties. Great guitar player, great voice, and doing all he could with Van Zandt. Those 3 albums Wild-Eyed Southern Boys, Special Forces, & Tour De Force were friggen great. Good to see him again. Personally, they're my favorite Southern Rock band.

I'm surprised nobody on here mentioned one of the high points in the 38 Special career when they played Arrowhead Stadium as part of Summerjam '82 with Foreigner, Loverboy, Triumph and LeRoux.
