      No, these settings are for fcaw,half inch thick coupons where testing is x-ray. The most failed test because of lack of fusion in the root . Voltage is set much higher than gmaw.

      It’s not like that, you can be completely leather clad and sitting on a rubber stool- it still gets you sometimes😅 it’s not actually travelling through the circuit, it’s around the circuit- by that I mean it’s in the air, and sometimes it finds you 😂 You don’t get a nasty shock, it’s more like your arm feels like your funny bone😂😂😂

      @@whatareuduingtell him it feels like being shocked by a 120 outlet, but with tingles harder than the 240 usually gives you 😅 also luckily nowhere near the ass kicking the 600 throws your way😜🤯 Very tolerable, but always a shocking experience when it gets you out of nowhere 😂

      Yeah.... if you have a leak with a water cooled torch.... Yup That's gnna leave A Mark! I've been shocked many times but with the addition of the water was a direct connection and burned a spot on my thumb.

      I don't know what you mean by finish product when the plate needs the last pass. I mostly do shorts and give tips . I am a welding teacher as well as a full time fabricator and UA-cam is a hobby I do for free. If you want to see something specific,let me know but if it's over a minute,UA-cam won't put it in the main feed because they aren't making money.

      It was a demo of the process ,I had two cameras and two shields and did it by myself . It wasn't a weld demo or I would have to get someone to help. TIP TIG welds don't look like Tig welds because there's no dabbing. They look like lay wire welds. Maybe I will do a quick vid with a camera man and show how nice they look👍

      @@TheRealNeoFrancois in many cases the welding is very old or done in countries of construction origin like China. Nowadays there aren't any cheap aluminum repair companies but one might be cheaper than the next but they still have to adhere to north American aluminum weld standards which have evolved to a much higher level than the period these old welds were created.

      @@mds6387 mig is mig and it has its place, I have every process in my shop. TIP TIG is fast Tig with more pen. I'm not sure about which steps you are referring. TIP TIG in a weld shop is an extra super tool to do long welds that are high quality with low weld distortion and stress because it's hot wire. I can't use carbon or stainless mig on most of my jobs because penetration is low. I need tools like this so my shop gets high production and meet the quality requirements when I need it . Comparing mig to Tig is like comparing a Kia Rio to a Corvette 😆it depends on what you're welding. I have two mig machines for simple quick jobs .

      @@GNelson1989 we have a mega million dollar pipe scope to rebuild a big icebreaker and this is going to change the game. We will still use conventional tig for on site connections in position where we have to but we will use it where it makes sense. You can do stainless pipe and CuNi pipe .

      @@GNelson1989 most people have a hard time thinking outside the box. You sound like that's not a problem. I'm in ship building and repair and I got a couple of these rigs for my shop and after a year and a half they finally see the outside of the box and we are using it. I'm a tig welder of many years and when I first saw this I was all over it. It takes a bit to get used to (like a week or two) but when you see how fast you get work done it's a no brainer. I've worked with boiler makers and once they find their groove it's hard for them to budge. It takes guys with your attitude to change the game,good luck✌️

Like I said ,I'm in a shipyard dominated by flux and stick and that's how it's always been but when you learn how to use this for pipe and get 3times the work done and still pass all the X-rays, that's what turns the heads.       @@devonswindell9735 tiptig is 4times faster travel speed and half the heat input because of the hotwire , just think about that for a minute. I'm a tig welder and the set up is negligible when you have 250 ft of weld to do. I love regular tig but one handed tig is great when you have a lot of weld and now the company is using it to replace flux and mig in certain jobs because of no smoke.
