Hay buddy I’m trying to soften the ride on the 2005 rodeo, oil shocks are not available so I’m told but when the Ute is unloaded that’s when my back bone absorbs the shocks, please help thank you.

Are trailer leaf springs supposed to be more flatter than how bow shaped actual truck leaf springs look? Are they same or different? Thanks.

Ok....so here in the states....i believe what you call camber....we call free arch.....so if i get a spring with a slightly bigger free arch (camber) it will raise the vehicle?

A long punch and some...gentle persuasion. We call that percussive maintenance up here in the states. Been looking at taking one of the Isuzu NPRs here in the US and fitting a divorced transfer case and hefty front axle to it for some overland action, and utility/recovery work in more remote parts where big wreckers can't go. We never got the 4wd NPS models here, so every part of it is a custom job.

Hey guys, i have the opposite problem, ive bought a 2018 bt50 4 door as a family car but find the ride is too rough. I will never use the max weight capacity or even close. I want a smoother ride, closer to that of my subaru forester. I am also disappointed a bit with the lack of chassis rigidity and i can often feel the tray moving in a different direction from the cabin. Would a chassis stiffener kit make a difference? Why is the tray not solidly mounted to the cabin? I love it otherwise, i just feel these improvements would enhance it even more. I look forward to your response.

Please everyone. This is a years old video for which the company seems to have moved on. You can find replacement springs nearly anywhere in a variety of lifts, weight ratings and number of leafs. Excursion owners can often use F250 springs as a replacment. Just google what you need.

So how does adding leaves help with articulation/comfort? Longer leaves yes, but I'd have thought that other than for carrying extra weight more leaves would hinder the former

So the original leaf spring has been replaced by a spring with more leaves. Unless the master leaf is lengthened as in roller style rear shackle mounting, then the working length remains the same. It would appear that a leaf spring with extra leaves has been added, which just stiffens the front axle oscillation, lifts the chassis somewhat and that's about it. As for the poly bushes, its better to keep with the silent-bloc, and keep both shackle pins well greased. Rubber hardens up under sudden compression poly does not do so with the same degree.. The same effect could have been obtained by adding leaves to the original spring..Air bags could have been used as boosters.Each to their own I guess.

Hi guys. I have a Iveco Daily 4x4 with parabolic springs. I have these symptoms you describe but I do not want the added height an extra leaf would create. Is there any other solution without adding an extra leaf? Cheers.
