You're going to cause a way bigger problem with that flimsy rubber coupler. Cut off the damaged part of the pipe. Yes its hard. Refit to pvc or the same type of pipe.

So, what is the fix?
Check fuse first, then check to see if compressor running, if it is, the lines are probably rotted and need replaced
