Thank you for the comment. Sadly I won't continuing with this specific save with Amersham. My hard drive failed the other week. I've brought a new one and all is good. But the save wasn't savable. I thought I had cloud save on via steam but didn't. I am thinking of a new save to do before FM25 is released.

Try using Proton Experminatel within the steam tinker tool.

so I ended up waiting for more than an hour, and nothing happened. The game was running according to Steam, but nothing ever happened. Today I did a full system upgrade, changed from proton experimental 9.0 to GE-Proton-9.5 and now it works!

Yeah. TruckersMP is pretty decent. It’s fairly easy to install. The only downside is there are plenty of stupid idiots on there that ruin it. Would stay clear of Calais and the Europort. It’s complete madness there.

No support for cracked/illeagal versions of the game.

It's in the settings section where you assign the hot keys. Yeah I noticed that on a few of my videos. I'm hoping in the later videos I got it OK.

Not sure about steam deck as I don't have access to one. But have found this guide github.com/sonic2kk/steamtinkerlaunch/wiki/Installation#steam-deck

I don't use the flatpak version. So I don't know where it would be installed. But have you gone to library, right clicked on ETS2, manage -> Browse local files. That should take you to where Steam is installed.

@@harmeyG Its alright, i made a post on the ets2 forum on steam community and someone helped me. I am using the proton version of ets2 so it has a different directory for the home folder

@harmeyG that would be great! I tried myself and got success installing a mod under proton after some attempts. But, a video like that would be great

Make sure you've installed the game natively and not using it via Proton. Once installed load up the game for the first time and then close it. Once done you can then go to {/home/YOURNAME/.local/share/Euro Truck Simulator 2}.

@@harmeyG How exactly do i install the game natively and ensure that Proton is not used? Im using Arch with Gnome desktop btw
