St Michael at the North Gate in Oxford is open for individual prayer and for public worship. For those who cannot visit us, as well as for those who do, we hope that the videos we stream and upload here may be a comfort to those who watch them, and help us all to be people of patience, kindness, courage, learning and prayer in these times.

I would have a cup of tea with Pan. Not really a charectar, though he does make an appearance.🔥quite a strange one many people wonder about - not just because the chapter is the title of a pink floyd album. Piper reads like an avant garde dream.

The presence of Pan is explained in the video.
I also found this disturbing in the movie as the goat-god Pan was portrayed in the 83 film as a benevolent being who watched over children and guided Rat and Mole with peaceful sounds in finding the young otter sleeping peacefully on a type of an alter at the foot of the Pan statue. Although l love WITW and it was a favorite of my daughter, l couldn’t remember Pan being in the book l read to her. The message was disappointingly blatant and to me placed a dark blue bruise on an otherwise beautiful and delightful story.
