Praise God for Rosaria's clarity. And for everyone else who had a hand in this talk. Singleness, though having much potential for good, is not normative for most men and women. Satan loves to see procreation die and humans go extinct. If we are staying out of marriage due to selfishness (Php 2:3-4), we are not walking in step with the Spirit.

Amen to men need to grow up and women need to cover up. You elevated the view of modesty to being Christ likeness.

This is a subject that so many Christians have avoided. I have been amazed how parents have allowed their daughters to leave their door wearing clothes that leave little to the imagination. The first thing a person sees is the physical. It is unavoidable. However, if a modestly dressed girl goes out, one is forced to look beyond the outer image to the spirit within. On the other hand, our boys should be taught to respect the opposite sex and practice self control. They also need to practice modesty.

If the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, how can a converted woman think it’s good to dress provocatively? It seems logical that the indwelling Holy Spirit would convict every woman about her clothing. The focus of a true believer is to live a life that glorifies God. How can a Godly woman put on revealing and immodest clothes?

I doubt the statements ONLY A CHRISTIAN can repent ... repent & believe are what is enjoined in scripture, in that order for some people at least

1. Respect for singleness and childlessness, combined with the calling to serve the Lord, is highly honorable and, to a certain degree, preferable - 1 Cor 7. Let's emphasize the framework for Biblical singleness and Biblical marriage, in a world that discourages marriage, not just push marriage. 2. The passages on modesty (1 Tim 2, 1 Pet 3) do not link it with tempting Christian brothers, and Jesus's words in Matt 6 put the "looking with lust" responsibility squarely in the man's court. Putting the responsibility mainly on women encourages the bestialization of men (they're too weak or too animal-like to control themselves) as well as the objectification of women. Let's deal with both sides - what thoughts are behind intentionally provocative clothes and actions, and what thoughts are behind lustfulness. (The fact that in certain religions women are forced to be exceptionally modest and the men are frequently involved in polygamy and rape is a clear indicator that the problem is deeper than women's clothes and men's sight.) 3. Considering that the instructions to be modest are 2 centuries old, and have been reiterated so many times, we ought to realize, and focus on, the heart attitude more than just "cover up." Miss Butterfield touched on this a little at the end - "rebellion against the created order" - but needs to give much more attention to the topic. I am in favor of teaching modesty, and having 3 daughters, I understand the challenges!
