It's a bit of a hike but well worth it. One can see almost all the geysers basins from this one point. Beautiful!

Spring, 2024, the 20 - 30 year old nest in Lamar Canyon needed a little renovating. It was exciting to see Dad grab dead branches and moss in flight, bring it home to Mom for proper placement. Dad helped place one or two, but Mom had the final say, including outside the nest ;-) Not intended for monetization.

When our friend, Matt, showed us a video of this little guy just born near a lurking coyote, we were unsure of his fate. What a relief when we saw him later, still wobbly on his legs trying to keep up with mom. He's now a robust bundle of mischief, and here he is with a playful whitetail deer. He's growing fast! A Four-minute mini documentary ;-) BTW - we understand the cub recovered the limp fine. Sunken bison carcass, seven wolves, Mama grizzly, two Cubs. Long story short, we had wolves chasing huffing bears less than ten feet from us (in our cars), wolves and bears all the way around us! Wish you ALL were here... (Not intended for Monetization)

What's wrong with the cub's front paw?
We don't know. It was getting worse over several days. We were quite worried, but someone posted the other day that she's sure she spent some time with this same family - both cubs present and no comment about a limp. Big relief! :-)

This guy ?? Those were all cows.
They are bulls, they have just dropped their antlers. You can see the scars behind their eyes where their antlers were and where new antlers will grow in a few months.
