Here in Finland some rifles have cold hammered barrels.
Unlike what the lead in dialogue may lead one to believe, it's not hammer forging per se that provides the mirror finish. It the pre-forging honing (mentioned later) of the drilled blank that's responsible.

The only thing they didn't think of is sending a person to carry the pack for you ,they simply thought of everything else and kept it budget friendly. Thank you, Spika, and all your employees.

Will these work with eastern diamondback rattle snakes? I live in Missouri USA and had two encounters with a rattle snake and a cottonmouth both very dangerous venomous snakes.
Being a lefty would love the LA102 to come out left hand. I'm picking up my LA101 in LH in a couple of weeks which cant come quick enough.
The 101's are a very nice rifle. The 102's are bulky over engineered features of Sportco and Ruger American combined. They need to come up with a new innovative action!
@velvet7828 they do have the hunter line of 102's that they have brought out, which is marketed as a stalking rifle

Ruger claim their barrels are hammer forged and have a video showing the process.
The predator line have the hammer forged barrels. Izmash in Russia has made hammer forged 22 barrels for a long time.

Is it camel bladder compatible?
Hi Ryan, if you're asking if it will take a bladder then yes, it uses the Spika bladder but the system in the pack is universal so you could use just about any bladder you choose.

What is the waterproof, breathability rating on these pants?
Hi! Thanks for your comment. The Trail pants are DWR treated but they dont carry a waterproof or breathability rating as they arent totally waterproof lined. The waterproof membrane is placed in key locations to provide waterproofing where you sit or kneel while in damp areas. This means you get the full breathability of a non water proof pant (with some water resistance thanks to DWR) but also keep yourself dry from wet grass and scrub etc while out hunting. Hope that helps answer your question!

In the video you mention a gaiter wire under the boot, but the video and other images seem to have the more traditional strap and buckle. Which is it on the current version of the gaiter?
Hi Geoff, apologies for the delayed reply. Seems we missed the notification. The gaiters use a replaceable wire under the boot and a buckle and strap to provide adjustability so they can fit all boot sizes and shapes.
This is such a great harness for the money. The main compartment fits my stalking binos and thermal monocular at the same time. One side pouch houses my range finder and the other my sambar call. Opening forwards and magnetically closing is both super convenient and super quiet.

Just an idea. I have the snake gaiters and they are great. But a simple L & R would be a great addition to them. Especially when it’s early and dark and you haven’t put them on for a while. Thanks.

The quiet mag closure is more crucial for rangefinder than for binos. If you're going to update it, make the side pockets genuinely large enough for a rangefinder and give them mag closures. Otherwise a high quality bit of gear.

Rattling and Croaking bucks at the end of the rut alerts more deer than calls in. They will come in to investigate as it’s weird and strange to them, they’re not coming in to ward off a potential threat. Otherwise they’d be croaking themselves. As we just seen! Anyway good for thought for next time… nice 2 year old to seal the deal to cover the boot leather.
