"Awful Annie v2" | A Twist on The Games Workout
2024.11.15, 10 rounds + 7 Set out targeting E90s pace but that was too easy so sped up slightly. Thought it’d be pistol limited but was TTB limited for me starting round ~7-8 ua-cam.com/video/si6YXNdyiPM/v-deo.htmlsi=4byhLHDaIX6flDaq
12+5 (11/16/24) watching it back, pistols weren’t to depth and sometimes lacked extension - ua-cam.com/video/t5gN5qEvitw/v-deo.htmlsi=jdD2fJsKAR3iwGCX
👏👏👏🫡
Love to see it 🙌🏼
The best video on BFB on UA-cam. Thank you from Algeria 😍
Thanks for watching!
10 Lengths (11/9/24)
Score was 10 50’ lengths. Grip blew up, couldn’t breath, and my back blew up. 😂 that hurt.
@@brennanschardt8577 sandbag weight?
@ 100 for over the shoulder and 150 for carry
@ nice!
One rope climb from a carry… really wanted that carry but didn’t want to scale the movements. That was tough. Anything in a vest is annoying, and just slows you down on movements you should otherwise be efficient as hell at. Good workout
I know it’s not typical but I row at 180 for short sprints and then 130 for 1/2 or marathons. The bike 5/10k at 180 then 20k + at 130. Hope that helps.
Makes sense. And you'll still be at a higher cadence than when at those longer efforts.
Bad form but incredible coordination to pull this off
Fair assessment...hopefully I'm improving: ua-cam.com/video/kzbrrg5YHz8/v-deo.html&pp=ygUcY3Jvc3NvdmVyIGRvdWJsZSB1bmRlcnMgem9hcg%3D%3D
😁👍🏻
6:58 (@ 172.5 snatches). UB BMU the way out, 6-4 on the way back. DUs were not awesome. Everything was kinda trashed.
6:08, threw down with Jim at Solace so we had to turn on the jets 🚀
5min 17sec (11/2/24): ua-cam.com/video/M7Vt5le3LAk/v-deo.htmlsi=7zc2KrWZ225kzy3i
7:48 with chest to bar. 85% felt too easy, not mad about that!
time was 7:36. Snatches were 1, rest 10 seconds, another. Last set was closer to 15 seconds. Bar msucle ups were 7/3, 5/5. These got pretty sticky from leg drive and pull was getting tough. Box jumps were just keep moving, and dubs were unbroken.

@@brennanschardt8577 regular old box jumps next time 😬

I wrongfully called the Crash scoring Z-Score. Z-Score is a scoring method, but Crash uses P-Score, where the best score & median score is used to create the point drop-off.
Also, since we didn't do a great job explaining it, here's a helpful visual: instagram.com/p/DBMq6e1S1wM/?hl=en
273 total reps. Did it in order. Act 1-1 Cal into 9 on the second round Act 2-3+22 Act 3-2+1 and 1,532 hurt feelings
score of total reps was 399 reps. Act 1 was 80, Act 2 was 257, and Act 3 was 62 reps. Order I chose to do these in was 3,2,1. Clusters were methodical singles, Box clear overs were just at a cruise pace. Dubs were unbroken, TTB were unbroken and wallwalks were methodically breaked out. Bike pace sat around 225 wattage and DB were unbroken 3/3. Almost got you Benny boy.
Dang. Impressive!
405 Reps (10/26/24) Act 2 = 4+48 / 256 | Act 1 = Through 2nd Rd of 12 / 93 | Act 3 = 3+11 / 56 | ua-cam.com/video/kkpv9JxKlgg/v-deo.htmlsi=817NpFsOoZX1J0mS
I think scores were very similar to when I did this at Roseland camp in Sept of 2022
Squeaked out 1 wallwalk to get you on Act 2 😂
@@brennanschardt8577 I didn't want to work that hard for one rep 😅
I enjoyed this workout! What I really liked was that while simple, this WOD comprehensively included upper (pushing and pulling) and lower body movements. Thank you for posting this!
You bet! Thanks for taking it on
Blaine has always been my go to source for fitness information, I am glad I go to meet such an awesome dude. Great podcast, and yes, the dude is Jacked!
The most aesthetic triathlete!
Do you do a little bit of a kettle bell swing movement (hip hinge) as you bring it up?
yes, quite similar
J.R. Smiled more on this show than all episodes combined of Sevan’s 😅

Gotta love having JR on!
I'm the captain now.
Which is better while doing squat getting come to fully standarding position or always keep a bend in leg
Unless you have a very good reason for shortening the range of motion in an exercise, don't.
7min 37sec (10/19/24): ua-cam.com/video/IKvxJFO__lE/v-deo.htmlsi=SEjQ9PA9CkkAySnP
Time was 8:12. Scaled to 165lbs. Dubs were unbroken throughout, ghd broke halfway each set, and cleans were slow methodically singles. No plates broke so that’s a plus 😂
@@brennanschardt8577 cruising for 165!
Absolutely awful exercise with such a high potential to injure somebody. fUnCtIoNAL fITtNeSs but when does anybody ever have the need to move in this way.
@@SpikeSpiegel-3859 I’m inclined to agree. But I don’t write the rules of the sport, just teach people how to win at it.
@@zoarfitness that makes you a sell out.
@@SpikeSpiegel-3859 that’s like saying an NFL coach who disagrees with concussion protocols is a sell-out.
37:39 Brutal but proud of my effort just had to rest more than I wanted too on the clean and jerks / empty bar thrusters. Unbroken on OHS which I was pumped about, breathed and didn't redline felt good all five rounds; run pace ~2:30 recovery ish. Clean and jerks would do 5s-3-2-5s mostly. Row pace a little over 4:05, but the empty bar thrusters were harder than I expected 15-10-7-13. 15/10/5 on pull ups to end it. Overall gotta be able to move faster but happy with effort I was able to sustain over 38 minutes.
29:29. Sheesh, these boys cooked me! Around 14:10 for Nancy, 3:20 Grace, and ~8 minute Jackie
27:20 - 12:37 Nancy, pretty consistent @ ~2:30 per round, 13.5 kph on the runner. 3:29 Grace, singles with larger breaks at 10 and 20. 7:16 Jackie, easy row (~1:58), rested thrusters in back rack across 5 sets, 20-10 on the pull-ups.
time was 24:50. Nancy=10:47, Grace=3:43, Jackie=6:20. Came out hot in Nancy, I've done this one and really wanted to beat my score so I focused on this one. Grace I did all singles because my legs were fried. And Jackie row pace was around 2:10/500m. Did thrusters unbroken and broke pull-ups into 2 sets.
Nice
I m not sure which exercise science you are reading, but over the past 20 years there have been massive advances in carb supplementation. That is one of the main reasons why cycling performance has increased despite less doping use. Apart from that, nice show
David goggins would destroy this femboy 💀🙏
time was 7:43. Did first round of 18 unbroken hang muscle snatches. 15/12 rounds broke up in 2 sets. BBJO just moved at a smooth pace and pushed on 9-6-3.
8:59 12-8, 10-5, 8-4, 9-6-3 Snatches, steady BBJs
Thats a PRESS
It's not. A press would rest on the shoulder in a front rack position. However, this is a muscle snatch, meaning it IS finished with the arms.
@raza.h I’ve seen you comment this on a different vid too. Do you have the link of the proper form

37 (25-12). Very similar to the first time. Though I didn’t trip this time, so I don’t know what my excuse is 🤣
Really information and derailed explanation, thank you!
score was 46 reps. 28/18. Front squats were 10/10. Broke 10-15 seconds in between. Burpees were a sprint. Did 28 in 1:34. Second interval was a mistake. Burpees took 1:45 second interval. Leggys were on FIRE. Front squats have never been this heavy ever.
