Thank you so much for posting this! I've been looking for the companion piece to the main show for quite some time. I'm glad I finally found it. Don't know why I haven't run into it before? But I knew very little about them at the time except where they were from and that they were a bit of an underground darling, I thought they were a perfect opening act for the dead. Slightly contrasting style, of course everybody had a contrasting style to the most unique live band in history...... The sound is fantastic for an opening act, her voice is so unique and rich, it just invites you along for the ride. I knew nothing about them and I thought they were excellent whereas that same year I went to Syracuse to see the rolling Stones reunion tour steel wheels, and living color opened up and at that point Vernon Reed was the hottest guitarist in the country and they were literally the worst opening act I've ever seen. And I think a lot of it was because the stones don't let you f*** with the soundboard even the tiniest bit but still man they were just terrible whereas these guys who I barely knew were a joy.

Thank you for this post What an absolute treasure this concert footage is. Incredibly well shot and crystal clear. I had forgotten how amazing the 10,000 Manics were back in the late 80s and early 90s. The song selections here are among their best; sweet sad stories of powerful importance. Merchants vocals are powerful and clear and her stagecraft superb. Her dervish dancing mixed with quiet moments sitting on the lip of the stage are a perfect combination. I saw many of those Manic performances when they played in the northeast, each and every one a fantastic event. Those first four Maniac records are classic. Merchants’ solo efforts pale compared to her artistry displayed her and her work with the group. How I wish they had stayed together longer. I think it was Robert Buck’s dazzling guitar playing that really wove the musical alchemy that made these songs pure spun gold. Wow, how I miss them.

Listening to this so gifted band unique in every way sense of the art form that is her's and the band innocence mission is but once every hundred years from Bach to Schubert to Mozart Mendelson Beethoven and so on forever a fan always since the beginning.

OMG, WDRE! I loved that station. XPN too.

It's unbelievable to think I've been listening to their first record for more than 30 years. I was too young to see them live in 1993 and had no idea they did a reunion show in 2019. I'm so sad I missed that! I saw a short-ish clip of that show in a Lancaster news outlet and I was blown away by how tight they were and how great they sounded. I hope I get a chance to see them play together someday
