Morbid Angel - Stricken Arise
Переглядів 1,1 тис.Рік тому
Here's a rough rekindling on my knowledge of Stricken Arise. I've known this one for years, it was one of the first few Morbid Angel songs I attempted learning, though forgot over time. Aside from guitar, pay attention to Pete, too. This has some of the most sickest swings on the drums I've ever heard used in a death metal song. I am playing the riffs for the left side guitar.

It speaks for itself. Full version? -P.S.: more like by Pete Sandoval!
Isolated Lava I

A solo I did for an old test song I made in my most natural improvisational form. It may sound very familiar to certain ears, to others, not so much. Here it is in all it's isolated glory. The PAF pro and RAT pedal combo is unbeatable.

One night on my usual quests of musical acquisition, I found this: "Lime Twigs & Treachery", released on Aug. 17, 1990 by Love Club. A goth band from San Francisco, active sometime from 1987-1992. I wanted to add more of my own accent with editing to distort this already haunting track even more. I'll let it speak for itself. -Disclaimer- All rights are reserved to everyone involved in the conc...

The raw track of my solo done for my friend's song here at 4:21: ua-cam.com/video/iMqRARH8FoE/v-deo.html All vibes, only felt out some notes with only a few minutes time taken to come up with something for this track. It's rough as heck, but I'm still proud of it. If you listen closely, you can hear me plucking away at the strings... The rig is a stock Ibanez RG7620 into a rat pedal clone, a Ma...

Less song track, more guitar from me. I've panned the audio so you can hear Dan's riffing and mine only, but I'm more pronounced in the mix. It ain't no pretty interface recording, either. How do y'all like me Improv Lava at the end? :D

GREAT PERIOD
Great cover of one of Trey's hidden gems.
Tremenda remasterizacion de sonido 👏👏👏
That guy in the orange suit sounds drunk, I can't understand a single word.
Can you cover beneath the hollow, there is literally no cover videos of it
killer bro
awesome bro, how do you learn the trey solos? Live tapes? Ear? You nailed it man! /,,/
Morbid Angel Gods of Death Metal
why do they barely show Trey during his solos?... Its censored material.
Excellent cover of a killer tune. What was the signal chain (amp, pedal, cab specifically; I’ve been trying to get the Heretic tone and your’s is solid)?
I think in person it def is much less Heretic sounding, rather it is more the case that I probs had the mic setup making it sound so saturated. But guitar, Rat, Marshall JMP-1 into a Peavey Vypyr, the Vypyr is merely being slaved to amplify the JMP, but any decent Marshall can give you the same tone. It's just a crunch tone with the rat pushing it into metal territory with a modest setting. The rest is just how hot that weird bridge pickup is
Believe it or not, but the main guitar tone you hear on Heretic is actually a Fender Combo amp. I forget which model, though. A Princeton, I think. But I don't know much about Fender amps
Only Morbid phucking Angel could compose a track with so much death metal pedigree as Rapture, unique, brutal, cool, it ticks all the boxes. They've done sick shit like heaving earth and things like that, but Rapture s the kind of track that murders any other bands entire discography, and stands high up there alongside some of the greatest tracks of the entire genre. A really outstanding moment for the band and whatever their inspiration was back then.
I loveto purchase this on bluray, or dvd..outstanding classic morbid angel masterpiece
Trey Azagthoth = Mozart of Death Metal!! 🤘
That was awesome!
I've seen Morbid Angel twice, but both times with Vincent........it means only ABCD songs.........

Thank you for re-posting this. Trey had this posted before his youtube channel was removed.
1:05:23 ABSOLUTE ACID TERROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trey inspires me to learn how to make music.
I absolutely love this live show!what a killer set list!!! I guess the dark sprocket one got taken down. I love Kingdoms,Heretic, Gateways,Formulas and of course the the first 4.
I’ve been binging on this era of the band… Steve Tucker MA >>> for me. Finally getting into heretic after all these years lol
Yeah man same here! I got it when it first came out and I don't think it was just the production maybe it was too technical?? I didn't really get into until I found this show last year. That's why I always loved live recordings. It brings some of the songs on the album to life even better live to me.
I wish they didn’t keep switching cameras and would focus on each person for longer, especially for treys solos they barely show him
I was there. Epic
Trey's channel was blocked? Somebody knows why?
This is an excellent show. Thanks for the upload
I remember when I first heard Pete Sandoval and was wtf is he doing?! The man is a legend for sure, a true pioneer.
Has the original upload of this been deleted? Thanks for uploading this set again

Stricken Arise🤟
Ironic that death metal of the era feels more life affirming than the digital industry produced crap today.
Terrible Just noise Music is led ,purple ,iron
Completely disagree! I started with AC-DC (hard rock) and Iron Maiden (heavy metal or nwobhm to be exact) and now I have come as far as brutal slamming death metal and war metal while still listening to Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas priest, Metallica etc... It's still metal just way more extreme and different in many ways but the root is the same! And not only is extreme metal music but it's a magnificent musical category too! Try listening to Death's and Necrophagist's solos (technical death metal bands) or even some black metal riffs too from the glorious days of black metal, the 80s and 90s even although that will be harder to bear listening wise if you have no experience with it what so ever! But hey that's just my opinion!
Pure energy! Great!
I was there! \,,/
I so badly want to thumbs up, but it’s got 666 thumbs right now!
Late 90’s : early 2000’s … the golden era of Death Metal … I feel blessed to be a part of it all.
Surely that era marked the decline of death metal. You're thinking early 90s.
@@thedddemon 90’ - 00’ were the years for the best death metal. My personal favorites were closer to 2000 then the 90’s, not that I have anything against stuff from the early 90’s tho. Gorguts - Obscura ‘98 Hate Eternal - Conquering ‘99 Immolation - Failures/Close to a World ’99 ‘00 Morbid Angel - Formulas / Gateways 98’/00’ (I do prefer early 90’s Deicide, Cannibal Corpse and Vader tho) Early 90’s Morbid Angel is def awesome but the above mentioned had more of an impact on me personally. I do agree tho that 2000 was basically the melt-up for sure. The proverbial saying “stars shine the brightest right before they die” comes to mind. What are your favorites?
