As a Hillsdale College K-12 member school, Cincinnati Classical Academy provides a time-tested, content-rich curriculum in the classical liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in moral character and civic virtue. We aim to prepare students for life, not just for college and career, through formation of the will to desire what is good, true, and beautiful. We rely on teachers, not digital devices, to teach, inspire, and form our students. We use primary sources and classic literature so that students can converse with and learn from the greatest thinkers who shaped Western culture and institutions. We serve students from 52 zip codes in 35 school districts in southwestern Ohio.
Sixth Grade Art Class - Stop-Motion Movies
At the end of the 2023-2024 academic year, Mrs. Hofmann’s sixth grade art students created short stop-motion movies of a selected master paintings from history. This project was a culmination of in-depth units on color theory and the history of animation. After learning about the history of animation, including thaumatropes, zoetropes, and flip books, students chose a master painting from the period covered in the art curriculum for sixth grade.

This never stops amazing me! We are so grateful.
Our ancestors were wise because they mastered the liberal arts. Notable figures such as Imam Ghazali, Ibn Khaldun, Imam Razi, Maulana Rumi, Al-Khwarizmi, Al-Farabi, Imam Al-Ashari, and Imam Al-Maturidi, and after that Western giants like Anselm and Thomas Aquinas, exemplified this wisdom. These were individuals who contributed immensely to society rather than accumulating wealth. I pray that Allah blesses me with mastery of the trivium, quadrivium, and philosophy. Ameen.
The grace that emanates from the Cincinnati Classical Academy experience brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart.

As a parent, we love an appreciate this so much. For our children to be seen, to be known, is invaluable to their self worth. Not to mention the interaction and mutual respect built with eye contact and a handshake is almost non existent these days. Great stuff happening here!!
