You left out the main part about where people who have an an additional vial with medicine. and have to break the connection between the vial of powdered medicine, mixing fluid with it, how to drain it back in the main bag and mix it up! I knew from doing it before and watching nurses in the hospital, but other people would not.

hello! pls help! we on our second bag if fluids and machine keep stopping saying air is in the line. we prime the line a couple times and its still saying it! What should we do to get to run correctly?

Post saline flush goes over same amount of time as the medication! All l heard was use a push pause method to administer the flush post medication flush

For best practice, gloves should be worn to reduce the risk of infection, cross contamination, etc. especially with rings and acrylic nails. Pulse flush was not shown with the last 2 syringes nor was any clarification given as to why the "patient" administered the 2nd saline flush and heparin, using improper technique.

This alarm is driving me crazy 🤪. They didn't teach me how to handle the alarms. I just got mine yesterday. It beeps just like the one in the hospital. Smh.

Long floppy dagged sleeves that may be contaminated from I don't know draping in the sink while she washes her hands, then drape over the mat, patient, equipment as she sets up, and administers the drugs??? I'm also with the person below who commented about the lack of gloves, but big floppy sleeves seem a worse problem to me. Even the video shows her getting her long floppy sleeves on the mat.

Yeah, I still can't get the damn thing to work. This is why professionals do this, which I most certainly am not, so I quit.

This is NOT sterile technique. Why? There are multiple errors in this video: First, if you are going to create a sterile field, DON’T wear any garment that could potentially swing into the field and contaminate it. Her frilly sleeves are a risk. Her wrist watch is a huge area of risk. Second, long hair should be pulled back and secured. Third, on opening the Huber style 90 deg needle packaging onto the sterile field the outer dirty packaging touches the field. RIGHT HERE THE STERILITY IS BROKEN. RESTART THE ENTIRE SET UP. Anyway, I am both a patient and an advanced practice nurse working in the OR. Pleases show correct methods for the entire process or what’s the point?

Is it necessary to inject heparin after expiration for example Sol. NaCl 0.9% 500ml, knowing that the patient has the same solution tomorrow. Or is heparin only injected when the needle is removed?

Ummm : bare below the elbows. For alcohol based hand rub - let air dry: the disinfection is in the drying . Then gloves .

Warning: inaccurate video. You should hold the drug bottle beneath the saline bag to mix the two (NOT above it as shown). Otherwise the liquid doesn't rise but the powder enters the saline poorly mixed
