Great study bro! Thanks for presenting! Love the teaching style and breakdown! So much to learn! Have a blessed day!
Thanks, bro! Tough subject…and this is a very, very high level look. But should be good to think on even if high level. :-)
Great! I'm excited to hear these.
Another great word! Especially like the absentee owner analogy! We have so much to be thankful for! Thanks, brother!
Thanks,bro! Appreciate you!
Thanks Joseph!!
So good, thank you!
I know that guy
Another great word bro! I can see and understand why this one was(time) so hard to get completed(time)! However, as always(time), God has given you what you needed to complete it! Thanks you so much for these words studies on God’s attributes!
Thanks, Brother! It did take me awhile (time) to get this out…but glad the Lord helped me through it. Could still be done much better, but the goal is to get us thinking in different theological subjects…so hopefully it will accomplish that! Appreciate you taking the TIME to provide feedback as always!
@ you’re very welcome!
Another great video bro! Thanks for teaching us on this little known attribute of God! Appreciate you!
14:29 I love how ridiculous the questioning of God sounds, “how much do I need to love you?” it also is quite pointless to be pursuing anything without additionally pursuing God‘s holiness!
Thanks Bro! Yeah…when we ask the question it seems wrong because we know our love cannot be bounded because God is infinitely worthy of love. But since we know we can’t, in this life, love Him with all our heart and soul and strength, sometimes we might think “what’s the point”? But this command, like all God’s commandments, are not brought down to our level to what we “can” do, but remain above us as what we are obligated to do, to pull us upward toward God. It is God’s grace in justification that accepts us as righteous in Christ by faith alone despite this gap in our living compared to His requirement. But the requirement appeals to our heart to move us by grace give our all to God joyfully and to seek to love Him fully and obey Him completely. Thanks for sharing and calling out that point as it is probably the most important one in the video. 😊😊
Great video, thank you!!
Good thoughts. Thanks for sharing! I think this temptation is something we all can relate to…and the God knew this and so he gave the command to pursue holiness when pursuing peace…and holiness must guide and constrain our seeking of peace so that we pursue peace only in a manner and to an extent that glorifies God. And while we will often fall short of this…the command of our gracious Father does pull us more and more toward God and toward putting his glory first in our hearts and lives.
I like that point about not seeking peace with others at all cost and "lowering our standard of Godly living." That's such a good thing to consider because of how appealing it can be to compromise in order to please others. It's such a good thing to think about too because of how easily we are prone to improper motives in such things - thinking we're honoring God when in reality we're governed by some selfish motive. Just overall a good think to think about. Great video!
Good video, I like the editing especially with the text.
Thanks! Trying to think of new ways of doing text…but still a noob once video editing!
Thank you for your teaching, keep it up!
Thanks brother! Appreciate the encouragement to keep going!!
Amen brother! Hard things often times don’t make us feel loved, but faith in our King leads us to trust His good and loving intentions even in the most in difficult trial. So glad He is sovereign so that nothing can come into our lives but what passes through His hand and is directed toward our good. “God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
Thanks bro! Appreciate your teaching us on these topics! It is a comfort to know that The Father disciplines out of His love for us!
Another great breaking down of The Word! Thanks bro!
Thanks bro! Appreciate your encouragement!
Good video! I've been listening a John Piper series on this topic.
Also, I like the text that goes along with the video.
Thanks Joseph! Please feel free to share any good stuff you learn from Piper not mentioned in these short videos. 😊
Very clear and thorough breakdown of these terms…great video! 👏🏻
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Another great video, bro! Thanks for explaining the differences and the similarities between these two terms!
Thanks! It wasn’t me though…have to give it up to Mr. J C Ryle! 😊
@@emmanuelsgf then technically it wasn’t him either!! It was Christ!
@@mrmyblessednest1722Amen!!
Great video bro! Love listening to you teach! Editing was spot on!
Thanks, Bro! Appreciate you!
is salvation an event, or a process...and if it is a process is this sanctification...
Hi! This is such a great question. I think, depending on how we define our terms, the answer is probably salvation is both an event and a process. There are aspects of our salvation that have been accomplished in the past…they are not a process. Election was before the foundation of the world (Eph.1:4). Redemption was accomplished “once at the consummation of the ages” (Heb. 9:26). The new birth is a point in time work of the Holy Spirit by which we are given sight…faith…to believe (John 3:3; 1 Cor. 2:14; Phil. 1:29; Eph. 2:8; 2 Cor. 4:6). Justification is the act of God in declaring us righteous in His Son through that faith. These things are not in-process but are finished works of God. So in that sense I might say salvation is an event. But sanctification, as you point out, and as we will see in upcoming videos, is a process. It knows of increase and decrease. It is also a work of God but not one He is yet finished with in the believer’s life. So in this sense salvation is a process. But for me, I think it is important to see that the process of sanctification does not make salvation uncertain as if it is still a thing in flux. Rather, sanctification is rooted and grounded in our already accepted position as God’s adopted children through faith in Christ. So justification is truly the finished event from which the process of sanctification flows and upon which it depends. So your salvation, believer, is not an uncertain thing but a certain thing even if aspects of that salvation are “in-process”. Thanks for this comment. My short answer doesn’t really do it justice…as there is so much more to see here and to think about. The salvation of a sinner, in all its parts, is truly a work of God’s amazing grace from start to finish! 😊
Not sure why my response doesn’t show up. :-(
Thanks for the great video!

Great message Charlie!
This was a great sermon - I’ve always been confused by this topic and this really helped clear it up for me. Thank you!
This was a very helpful message, thank you!
Hypocrisy is probably the number 1 complaint against Christians. Yet there are so few pastors openly discuss it as they are afraid to lose people from church. But at the end, aren’t we afraid of losing our place in heaven?
This was such a helpful discussion, thank you!
Thank you, Derek, for this beautiful, Spirit-filled message!!!
