Where do they get these commie clowns. This is absolutely injurious to the faith. God does not care if Trump or Harris wins. He cares if we care for the poor, observe the sacraments and visit the prisoners. The best option for any Christian is not to vote in this election.

Regarding "who's not at the table" - I'm curious about how we can better discern this beyond our individual perspectives and communicate candidly about needs we may not feel equipped to respond to.

This is step one towards having a representative government. We must have objective districts without party characteristics or racial segregation. Be honest and transparent. I strongly encourage only using population density and continuous physically recognizable boundaries. When you incorporate income and race, you begin to segregate.

I want more!!! Great conversation. I'd like to ask that you include a conservative; resisting voice in the conversation. If for nothing else to model your work, and also to demonstrate the lived resistance. Not to be merely provocative, but to show the full context of your engagement with this work.

I have finally taken the time to watch this and am amazed there are no comments!! I wish this was a regular format for CEEP - same or different panelists. The reality that clergy are careful to protect their compensation, to protect losing the 'big' givers is a minefield to maneuver. Like so much of secular life, we too in church have capitulated to the dollar. Funny I should sit and watch this on the week of the Parable of the Talents in the lectionary for Sunday ... a parable that is disturbing and rarely given a reflection that lifts up the 3rd servant who buried the Master's money and returned it. The only among them who did not participate in the economy, who called out the Master as harsh and the Master did not disagree! But none of us (self included) wants to be that 3rd servant ... we want to be the 1st or 2nd, acknowledged and praised for playing the game well. We need more white people talking to white people and to hear white clergy being vulnerable is necessary and refreshing. Frankly, as much as I love the church, it tires me out.

You read from Jeremiah, "yahweh will not be hurried in his plans for his people" - what verse are quoting? I do not find it in the 29th chapter of Jeremiah.
