So stupid question maybe. What does the clutch do as far as from stock sir?

Mine was a Glastron 19’ fish/ski deep ever.Went into many 2’ with the front of the boot to retrieve lures.Normally lost 2 a year.

Go in towards the hooked lure and retrieve from opposite side,if still can’t remove,try to pull straight up from the location it’s caught on,if you fails say goodbye to your lure.

Let the drag out just a bit and If you pull the rod and the string away from each like you would a bow and arrow. Like your casting the reel like you are trying to cast out. Let the string go at the same time as you do it and Actually in a lot of caught up moments, I saved my lures. It will slomg the string foward and release the lure. An old man taught me that. Honest truth it has worked plenty of times.
