Mønsted Kalkgruber - Viborg - Creepy cave/limestone mine!
Visit to the largest limestone mine in the world, 10 miles west from where I have been staying in Viborg. My solo trip was very interesting albeit a bit creepy at points for me when I felt lost within the mines!
For more information on the history of the mines visit www.monsted-kalkgruber.dk

    Paper thin streaky bacon. The worst garbage in the world. There is NO bacon culture in Denmark. They have no idea what decent bacon is.

    Hi... I am planning to stay at Viborg for bachelor studies.I would like to know If there will be any part-time job availabilities for an English speaking student or one travels to Aarhus to get a part-time job easily

    • @pennybuchan4457
      @pennybuchan4457 5 років тому

      Hiya! Aarhus and viborg are too far apart to be able to commute easily for a part time job. How long will you be in viborg for? The feedback I had before going was that it's unlikely as an overseas student that you will be able to find part time work on a less permanent basis for shorter durations of stay

      Also, is it easy to find student assistant positions within the department as far as u know

    • @pennybuchan4457
      @pennybuchan4457 5 років тому

      @@vasurao953 what do you mean by student assistance position? As in work within the department? I was part of the erasmus exchange programme so I had a 12 week nursing placement at VCR spinal rehab unit that was arranged by the University. The exchange programme meant we received some additional funding to help us with costs but I did have to use some savings in order to afford the experience along with my regular student bursary

    • @vasurao953
      @vasurao953 5 років тому

      Yes.The work within the department.The funding provided wont be sufficinet to cover the expenses right.Its around 400 euro,but I have seen that the living costs will be between 600 to 800 euro per month.

    I think you just broke a Danish law first things first you didn't put butter on your bread and if you added an egg and some (biksemad) then we are talking (Danish word for meat and potato with onions)

    The rides are little better in Tivoli, but the food and accessibility are better at Bakken IMO. Plus if you feel like it you can go for a long walk in the park surrounding Bakken.

    • @pennybuchan4457
      @pennybuchan4457 6 років тому

      I agree, both parks offer very different feels and there was something really nice about Bakken feeling very traditional and not about the glitz you get in tivoli 😁

    After some Googling I found out the name of the bird's, they're called Rook's and live in big colonies. This group is huge, when they get this big they are seen as a nuisance. They will have to thin out the colony or the three down.

    Great video, thanks for sharing. At 5:14: Nice to meet you translated to: Det glæder mig at træffe dig! Ha ha! Who the hell would say that in Danish? Well, strictly, it's correct, but people would think you're from a time long long gone! Who the hell did that translation, he he! One "Hej" for hello, and a "Hej hej" for goodbye will do along with a hand shake

      borg386 its quite boring. Most Young people leave to go study or just not be bored out of their mind. In terms of higher Education (past High School/A-levels) it has gotten better. But its still for a Young person boring as hell. Allot of people do move back when they settle down. And the City is growing.
