Thank you for telling this story from an NCO's perspective. Officers and NCO's had different perspective in the GWOT. One is not "better" than the other, but they were different. Well Done...

Served in Dessert Shield/Storm on a ship in the Red Sea and boots on the ground in Iraq in Iraqi Freedom in 2003. I was security for a Navy Field Hospital. We didn't lose one single Soldier or Marine that was brought in alive but I saw so many young men and women horribly injured. Many with permanent injuries. This play seems like it's healing people, families and veterans.

I have many old friends that are or were warriors and veterans. Sometimes their kind and jovial nature hides the terrible truth, they went to war, they saw and experienced the terrible inhumanity of war, they saw their brother fight and die around them. Paying for our freedom with the last full measure they had. I am reminded each Memorial Day, freedom’s not free. For my friends who have experienced the brotherhood and heartbreak- I salute you all - I keep this day reserved for quiet reflection and giving thanks - God Bless you all - RIP warriors - America never forgets your sacrifices.

Absolutely incredible. It's impossible to hold back the emotion when watching this. Understanding WHY we choose to join our country's military, whatever branch, knowing what we risk to protect the people of our beloved country, and knowing how many families have lost their loved ones... this will bring you to your knees. Can't wait to see this in person. Thank you, Scott, for all you've done and all you do and thank you to everyone on the team who brings this to life. I LOVE YOU ALL with the same love that GOD loves us with! God bless you all! Ahhh Scott, once again you have spoken words that gently but thoroughly provide a healing balm to my shattered, broken heart. Though those words were first spoken almost 112 years ago, they could not have been more timely and appropriate than they are still today. Right in the middle of that quote, I saw my beloved Daniel. "... Who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause..." My Danny all the way. Though that catastrophic abandonment of the people my son died trying to help, to the terrorists who killed him, brought me back to my knees in fresh, raw pain, your reminder that WE, the veterans and military families are the ones who get to attach and confirm the meaning of their deaths in battle. No one else... brought comfort and a little bit more healing to my freshly re-wounded heart. I sometimes wonder if I will ever find an adequate way to express how much your words and actions mean to this brokenhearted, grateful and proud Gold Star Mom. ❤️🇺🇸

Wonderful job Keri!!! Such a moving story. That took guts and sometimes guts is all it takes. Please don’t carry that with you anymore. That was in no way your fault.
