If im right chocolate consists of chocolate powder, cocoa fat, sugar and vanilla extract but again i dont exactly remember but i think flakeys were the reminants after making chocolate so it didnt have any cocoa fat, now like most fats its has a low melting point(like butter and coconut fat)or (unlike fluid oils with a high smoke point like olive oil). Because it doesnt have any oils it cant melt as easily but now youre adding moisture and turning that hydrophobic cocoa powder into a sugar absorbing cocoa sludge which DISSOLVES in water. Technically, it can’t melt because it has no moisture in it, that doesn’t mean it’s not soluble in water or that or cannot be burnt.
