Well, when he was somewhat merged with the spirit, you could argue that he had little control of it. Avatar state is a little different, but he also didn't control it then. However avalanching the fire nation army and annihilating that fly was 100% his doing

In the world of cartoons, if a character isn't explicitly shown being dismembered, they're most certainly alive.

I watched the show recently, and I genuinely never believed Aang would ever attempt to kill anyone (except for those who stole Appa). But to be balanced, I also never believed he didn't kill a few guys by accident either.

I was thinking about that as a six year old.

It really does paint his spontaneous obsession about it as severely petty and hypocritical of him Like yeah sure we can drone on about how might makes right had to be subverting or it "wouldn't have worked to fix their world" But 1. It literally DIDN'T fix their world; people still start shit and both the power hungry and might makes right folks still pop up 2. Aang continues to fight people which is still against pacifism. I would argue that the Fire Nation soldiers that attacked the Northern Water Tribe deserved it, considering that their mission was to kill the Moon Spirit, but even still Aang is definitely lying about not taking their lives.

I dont think the water monster shpuld count because he wasnt in control at that point, but everything else is deffinatly on him (although i dont believe the bug in the last clip was actually hurt)
