Well, this took me well down memory lane. I still remember the feeling of opening up a fresh Skylander when the first part came out 😂 Skylanders was probably one of the most influential games on my childhood. It's all the way up there with Pokemon and Spectrobes Great video, thanks for reminding me of the good old times ^^

I grew up with Skylanders Giants. I played through it multiple times with my friends and it was very fun.

i will forever be sad that my mother sold ALL her skylanders for pennies on the dime she had fucking so many of them and it was so much fun playing with them all...and then one day i came home from school and she had sold them all because she needed food she sold 1000 skylanders (i'm not kidding) for 50 dollars.....WE GOT PAID TWO DAYS LATER

I vividly remember my Wii crashing EVERY time me and my brother would fight Dreamcatcher in Trap Team, so neither of us ever finished the game

this was the most fun and perfect game for me as a little kid

There are 6 of them? I stopped paying attention after Giants came out because they forced you to buy a new portal.

As a grown up looking back i can't understand how much money i spent(my parents) on 3 single games(first three). for instance I have 3 different spiros, og, giant version, and gold version. And many more skylanders. Like the games were good but they did not deserve all that money.

Disagree with the swap force level design. The level design and especially the winter and water levels are something i still vividly remember and love.

I was bullied for loving this franchise, but I know what? I didn't care. these games where something special for me and will never stop loving them purely because they made my childhood.

When I was a kid me and my brother got the first game and even managed to get the dlc figures which unlocked their stories. One was a pirate ship which you used to fight off a bunch of wolf pirates on a port of sorts and the second was a firefly which took you to the domain of dragons

Now someone needs to tell me why these companies are this slow. Rebooting this franchise would result in the easiest profits out there. If they reboot the series, a bit more fleshed out, and just sell the skylanders DIGITALLY. They would still easily make a money. Again, not even a new game necessarily. Remaster the old ones, sell stuff digitally on top of selling the main game, maybe let us play co-op online, and its free money glitch. SO. Where is it?

Bro THE WHOLE CONCEPT OF BASICALLY HAVING A COOL ACTION FIGURE AND THEN YOU BRING IT INTO “LIFE” IN THE GAME WAS SO COOL TO ME. I never really beat the game cause I didn’t know what to do 😭 but now that I’m older i definitely should go back and beat all the games.

You forgot to mention that Trap Team introduced the Dark and Light elements

My brother and I had the first three games on the Wii, my brother even won a special box for Trap Team. A few years back we had a birthday party at a friends place (who we always joke does nothing but skip college classes, drink a lot and sleep in) and we knew he had a large Skylanders collection. So one other friend decided to put the data of a rare Spyro on a tag and put it in a hand-crafted bottle opener keychain. Best part, it actually works, the portals actually recognize the bottle opener as a Spyro

I never got to play Skylanders because my parents thought it was demonic along with other things and I unfortunately missed out on a lot but this video helped me enjoy it for the first time

Man that music for the first game… years of nostalgia completely just rushed back to me, I only ever played the first two games, never even beat either of them. But I had a bunch of the figures, I outgrew it around the third game, still I absolutely adored the series as a kid.

Skylanders was the first game I ever got truly invested in, when I look back at the entire franchise they definitely started strong with Spyro's Adventure and personally I think that Trap Team was the pinnacle of it all due to the superchargers game basically being redundant. For me, the first 4 games are fantastic however I would have liked to see Activision NOT make people pay an arm and a leg every single year. The last 2 games are fun to play but are essentially useless. They are time killers at best although they are somewhat enjoyable. The first 4 games however really are "The Games" for me.

I grew up with skylanders, and the biggest gripe I had with the series is that I was a child and I could never get any of the characters I wanted because they always sold out instantly
