On this channel we typically fix small engines but in the upcoming future I hope to advance on some larger projects

Honda EX 350 Generator
Переглядів 18 тис.4 роки тому
This generator was given to me by a good friend who said he had left it sit-in for a couple of months and it would not start again. As expected the carburettor jet was clogged by the old two stroke fuel. Hope you enjoy

Here is my Honda ex 650 from the 1980's I got it given off a good friend in as a non runner as it had been in storage for around 8 years
Nice. I have one that I found in my grandfather’s shed. Mint, still in the original box. Going to clean it up and get it running
Respect 🤝
I wish my brain could do this....
I have one like this, problem with a leaking petcock, dont know where to get one, either a repair kit or the whole petcock, any help where I can get one I would higher appreciate it, thank you
This video is too fast and frantic for me but thanks all the same.
Agreed, just click the "settings" button and change playback speed to 0.5x so it plays at half the speed
Khói quá
voltage muy inestable.... funciona para equipos a resistencia que no requieran de energía estable, teléfonos, pc, camaras etc.....
Wht fuel do u use fr it petrol or diesel
Gasoline
Nice video!
How much gasoline consumes per hour?
Mình có cái ex300

Can someone show me how to teardown my ex350 generator
Hi! I have the same generator. RPMs are floating like in yours. Is there any chance to get stable PRMs?
Yes, what you need to do is completely take apart the carburetor and clean it thoroughly (main jet, pilot jet, needle valve seat, etc.). Most people fail to clear those tiny little holes barely visible inside the throttle body; best way to achieve this is to take the finest wire brush you can find, pull a strand out and use a pair of needle nose pliers to maneuver the wire into all the holes. Before you remove the idle mixture screw you must make note of how many turns it takes to completely close it off, that way you can put it back where it was. Before reassembly you have to flush all fuel passages with carburetor cleaner and make sure the fluid is coming out of those holes. I own 12 of these (a mix of EX350's and EX500's)
@@1rdnck Hi. Thanks! You are absolutely right: I missed to see the tiny hole in a pilot jet. Cleaned it with tiny brush. Now it works as it should. Whith your rich experience with these generators what kind of proportion do you use between oil and fuel: 1:50 or 1:100? Thanks!
@@andriikolesnyk279 Honda changed the mixture from the original 50:1 to 100:1; the newer EX500 never had 50:1 specified. I have never even considered 50:1 as it is too much oil for this application, it kills the muffler, the spark plug and the combustion chamber.
Thanks so much for this video. For the first time, I could not start my EX 350 this summer. I followed your video (just a bit fast!), took apart the carburetor and thoroughly cleaned all of the jets. The one part I didn't know about was the carburetor drain valve (through the hose at the bottom of the carburetor bowl) - and left it a little loose on starting the first time - resulting in a gas leak). Once I closed the drain plug - the generator has been running like a charm. Nice steady speed, easy start. Thanks a ton! This is a great little generator for keeping my trailer battery topped off if I don't have enough sun to charge through solar. I don't think you can buy these new any more. It's a shame since they are such great little generators.
how many hours he had ??
Not enough..Haha... About 60 Hours
Remove the exhaust. It gets a lot of carbon buildup because the specified mixture is to much. Run it at 100:1 and clean and inspect exhaust muffler and port.
I have the same generator. It's better to run a 1:25 mixture and clean the exhaust than to change the engine.
I've problem removing the rotor off my ex350 how can I get it off
100:1 is way way too lean that's like zero oil
@@andriikolesnyk279 1:50 maybe?
Good video, a little audio would be nice.
Keep Up The Work
