Base cut and porting on this saw

the excessive heat created doesnt involve the combustion process. The excessive heat is created due to the fact that fresh air has less of a cooling effect than the fuel air mixture.

It allows the clean air charge to keep the mixture in the chamber for more complete combustion - which results in a more lean setting.... if you don't like my wording of it that's fine, but the science is the same. That is unless of course, you want to debate science versus theory...

@ it does not produce a leaner combustion. A car cruising down the road (on gas) is running about 14.6 parts air to 1 parts gas. In power mode it’s in the 12 to 1 range. Do u think a strato saw is any different than a carb saw at the time of combustion?

And yes, fresh air is expelled 1st which helps prevent the loss of the fuel charge out the muffler.

@@Eganperformancesaws you're mincing my words in order to feel superior. They use less fuel and run hotter due to a more complete combustion by design to help minimize emissions and meet EPA Standards. That's the facts- I've wasted enough time arguing your validity of the words I chose.

I always tell people I won't be offended if they want to try another porter or ask about one- I'd rather see people not get taken!!

Stock outta the box... believe it or not it doesn't get much better adjusted correctly. Slowest 70cc saw I've ever run.

​@@IowaPerformanceSawsthat a stock muffler to? Also if it's brand new it's still gotta break in I've never seen a non broke in that slow but I do know they significantly improve when broke in

@@haydenshores9943no the customer had done his own muffler before dropping it off- even with that it's a dog. They get wildly better with porting and machine work

@@IowaPerformanceSaws what I don't get is I've seen other guys who haven't done any work and after about a month of use it rips not like a ported saw but not like that either

Is now the same saws* the 757 and all the pre Yamabiko saws were original Shinsaiwa designs. A lot of people say the newer more powerful Echo’s have Shin DNA. The Shin’s were assembled in Tualatin Oregon for a while as well.
