Man I used to love this game back in the day and made lots of videos as well, but the fact that PvE servers are basically all gone and everyone is focused on PvP servers, makes me really sad to be fair. It was supposed to be a survival game, but people just want to shoot each other instead of teaming up against zombies. Unturned 2.0 was the golden age of this game and the survival aspect there was the best of all the versions imo. Really sad to see this game slowly dying... But sadly everything has an end somewhere. Surely we all had a great time in this game and made lots of cool memories :')

first game i played on steam. Sadly, optimization got ruined to the point where a game that looks like something you would see on roblox straight up crashes my system, and yet the complains of me (and other few people) did absolutely nothing ;w;

Nelson isnt even updating the game. he is downgrading it. a lot of people that made his game popular are now being swepped under the rug and he is just making stupid decisions

i clocked 7000+ hours in this game, maybe its a flex, maybe I'm ashamed... but I will never forget those hours nonetheless

When I started out in unturned back in 2018/2019 i joined a random germany server and it was actually really fun, this game was the thing that pushed me to learn english, I mean on that first server I didn't even know anything, I just used google translate and had conversations with some people, I joined a team of a few guys, we built a big base and we just had lots of fun. The guy that basically lead the team even gave me a tophat as a gift. The reason I stopped playing unturned as much, after thousands of hours is that there is no longer the possibility to talk with people, to have fun with strangers, back then people shot eachother too but you could actually enjoy the game, now theres not much good left of the game.

if 800 hours are a lot, i feel called out i dont regret it but i have 1800 hours and im still shit at unturned lol

the only servers i play unturned on are dead alive pve servers amaizing guys everyone is helpfull spent most my hours on their servers there are rules but its nice not being paranoid of tryhards jumping you every few seconds

i used to sit on the alberton ship roof or around there and belfast airport tower and shoot people with the 99 damage suppressed ak style sniper in 2.2.5, it caused the victim to die of bleeding instead of the gunshot so the death screen would hide my username if they had enough health lmao you could also use the crossbow from the island into alberton pretty well with a scope too, anyone swimming couldnt fight back and its silent and sync servers would just let you go into singleplayer and bring those items into the server, so you could just edit your inventory and get it on the server too :p

the unturned for the last 3-4 years got worse than ever the 10x loot servers got more and more popular and right now its hard to find alive vanilla servers :(

the best way to enjoy Unturned is semi-vanilla, its a good mix of PVP and some survival aspect

Another issue is that Nelson basically gave up on his own vision and went full PvP only mentality. The fact that we even got that vehicle physics update is a miracle.

For me this game turned into rust. instead of like dayz you know. You spawn. loot shit, build a base. defend youself when a kid with a knife screams at you. gather his loot. and maybe die and repeat the cycle. the zombies were scary like. shooting in middle of the city would make you regret it but. this game went into pvp focus instead of pvpve. zombies aren't that scary anymore. like the maps that are made by commnity are pvp focused like arid and others. I still love Unturned i like playing it with my cousin time to time but yeah. But good things at some point need to end.

Genuine good vanilla servers only ever get 5 - 10 players. Meanwhile the popular modded pvp servers, like unturnov for an example. sit around 100 - 150 while their staffteam is full of useless incompetent pigs that do nothing. + a few of the most active players on the biggest unturnov server have been exposed to be preds/groomers. what a joke dude. been on the game since early 2017 and it has only ever gotten worse.

May unturned rest in peace. It's genuinely a shame what has happened to it. I miss the golden days of it, but it is still pretty good now, even with the issues. I occasionally return to play it. Especially when a new map drops or something.

Unturned has a lot of potential to rival a lot of zombie survival games, but with the drama of removing prominent workshop devs from the scene, it looks pretty bleak.
