Bluff Hut Trail | Overnight hike to the Victorian high country
Переглядів 1,4 тис.7 місяців тому
Bluff Hut Trail is located in the Alpine National Park just behind Mt Buller. This hike was one of my most brutal hikes to date! Starting from 8 mile flat campground and following the river towards Ritchies Hutt then up from there. The climb to the summit was a gruelling one but well worth the pain for the views at the top, passing by Bluff Hut which is popular with 4wding but make sure you've ...

Hiking and Photographing Mt Hotham Huts Walk
Переглядів 191Рік тому
Starting the hike from Mt Hotham village, heading up the Great Alpine Rd to the Mt Loch track trail head and then starting the trek to the top of Mt Loch. Once Summited Mt Loch you make your way back roughly 900m onto the huts walk trail (this is sign posted) and then onto Derrick Hut, Spargo's Hut and then down the hill to Swindlers Creek. From Swindlers Creek you climb back up to Mt Hotham vi...
Love this video. Thankyou so much for your time and effort. It hasn't been unnoticed ❤❤👍
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate you watching ☺️
Great video Sam. Can see the burn when climbing up on your toes! What camera do you use? Quality is fantastic. Cheers
Thanks for watching Scott! Was using a Sony a7iv on this trip.
Thinking about doing this, but over 2 nights to make it more bearable. Great video, good times :).
You won’t regret it! Thanks for watching Tim ☺️
Great video and hike! Loved that touch with the rock pat on the cairn ;)
Thanks for watching Sam! I liked the rock pat too, I didn’t think people would notice 😂
Love the content. Also, what hat is that? I'm in the market and that looks perfect! Cheers
Just stumbled accross this vid on youtube. Loved it mate, nothing better then the Vicco high country .. I'd love to do this circuit in the snow one day. You captured the walk really well! Great footage
Thanks Luke I appreciate it mate ☺️ It surely is a beautiful place up there, unfortunately that weekend was boiling hot so I struggle in the heat! But I have thought about it in the snow, you would capture some amazing photos on top 🏔️
00:18 is absolutely incredible!
Thank you! It was shot on top the The Bluff near Mt Buller in the Victorian high country☺
Nice
so peaceful... what camera do you use ?
Sony a7iv
Nice clip, some great photos well done. It is a beautiful place.
Thanks for watching Mark ☺️
Very nice mate
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching ☺️
I absolutely CAN NOT wait to explore Au when I move from Canada 🇨🇦
You’re moving to the right place then! Just keep an eye out for snakes and you’ll be sweet 😎
Really nice videography Sam. Good use of fixed focus shots and a great variety of drone/timelapse/night time/etc shots to keep the audience interested. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos!
Thanks for watching mate, I appreciate it. I’ve got a few videos planned for this coming spring and summer, so very keen to share what I get up to.
Nice hike and well filmed. Especially enjoyed the night lapses and the stills.
Thanks mate, I appreciate it. It such an amazing place for views, I was a bit spoilt with a new moon and also fog in the valley 😎
I often ponder if there's dirt out there, that's maybe never, ever had a human footprint on it ? Since time began.
I sometimes think the same thing, travelling into places like the Pilbara and Kimberley regions definitely feels that way.
This makes me want to go outside and do some exploring. Awesome video, keep it up💪🏼
Thanks Philip, if only I could explore more as well ☺️
Such a well produced video! The shots are fantastic, and the scenery is absolutely mesmerizing. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the kind words, I’m trying to improve every video ☺️
Wow!! Amazing video. Thanks for sharing. Like 👍1
Thanks mate ☺️
Ah, the memories. Beautiful locational ambience.
It sure is! Thanks for watching Andrew ☺️
Nice one mate, looks like a great walk! I really need to get down and spend some more time in the Vic high country. Its a gorgeous part of the world.
Thanks mate, it is a beautiful part of the world. Makes it hard when we have so many great places in Australia to explore. I’m torn on where to go sometimes.
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. Subbd & 👍13
Glad you enjoyed it mate, thanks for subscribing 👌
Beautiful video and hike but you are terrifying me walking about in the high country in trainers with no gaiters! 😅 I got bitten near there last month, as often as not you can't feel them striking you and they're just too venomous to gamble with. Might be wise to update your hiking kit. Otherwise great video!
Thanks for watching. I did have gaiters in my bag but wasn’t worried enough to put them on. I prefer just runners for these kinds of hikes because hiking boots would be too painful on the feet for this elevation.
Hey Sam, Well done, love the astro shot. It's an impressive place up there at the Bluff. There is so much work that goes into shooting and cutting a film like this, especially in that steep rough county. Good on you.
Hey Matt, thank you. The pain in my legs was much worse then the pain of editing this video but I appreciate it mate ☺️
Beautiful atmosphere ❤
It really is! Thanks Matt ☺️
Good video, good choice of music, please do more hikes around Victoria!
Thanks mate I appreciate that. I’ve got more planned for the months coming, stay tuned ☺️
Beautiful footage! Great to see some high quality Australian production.
Thank you very much! Not sure about the high quality production, I’m working on that part but I’ll get there ☺️
Great video. Timelapse scenes were amazing.
Thanks mate, Glad you like them ☺️
What a special place. Lovely videography
Absolutely stunning hike my friend, shots are amazing as well as atmosphere!
Nice video Sam. Thanks for taking us along. I am planning a hike to that area soon. I am looking forward to it even more having seen your video and how beautiful it is.
Incredibly beautiful shots and composition Sam. This is a wonderful video of your adventure and exactly the content I am looking for and trying to create myself. Glad that I found your channel!
Thanks mate I appreciate it. It’s a start which is the most important part of YT.
Wow, absolutely amazing work. These shots are spectacular!
