You can get this "Good Ending" legit without using cheats. Simply make sure either Player 1 or 2 is on about 29000 points and let the other player do all the fighting and to kill Willy. When the final duel starts, earn 30000 points to get an extra life, the person who gets the life should run off the bottom of the screen.

The end where that eerie music kicks in and the purple shadow doppleganger laughs as he appears from the carpet behind you still kinda makes me feel weird and fucks me up lol

Nice job , man ! You know every trick this game has. It is a strange game where you are forced to set timer to 80 (easiest) to beat a game on hardest deathless. To beat it on hard deathless you need to set it to 70. But arcade default according to US arcade manual is 65 ! This game just wants you dead. Last stage shows how skilled player you are. You had to risk a lot to do it in time limit. For example: doing kick kick hurricane kick combination on huge guys , punching yellow karatekas. Luck is also needed because green karatekas often refuse to drop into a pit which takes a precious time. I imagine what you came through to do this - congrats !

Who on earth finishes level 1 with 20k points never mind riding on level 3 and getting to level 4 with only 1 token??? Amateur. I used to play this in the 80s and I cannot remember my high score but most of us made 6 million + on a regular basis.
