Dr Blau's comments at 50 min in sound like a description of the behaviors we see in the fascial structures in the endoscopy work of Dr Jean Claude Guimberteau (ez: Strolling Under the Skin, viewable here on youtube), so if there's related research showing this behavior in the muscles, I would be very interested in seeing it. Any ideas?
Sounds really interesting - wish I had a couple of hours to spare...!
I have been listening over and over! Thank you for this!
I am having a difficult time finding a definition for "boutique journal." Can you point me to a resource for more about this term? Thanks!
This channel is know by surprisingly small amount of people. Do you think a few pictures from the experts would make it more interesting?
What is wrong with the Representational account of Barsalau...? I wonder why people of anti-representationalism (Hutto, Myin, Chemaro, etc. ) just don't talk about this clear Embodied Representational account.... (represented in sensory-motor-affective regions of the brain) .!!
I really liked this interview. Thank you for that
I found this very interesting, thanks for sharing. I have one question about the LAMDA model; Prof. Latash made reference to it being a valid concept of motor control. Doesn't LAMDA align with the role of internal models and representation? Prof Latash goes on to dismiss internal models as the "work of god" - maybe I am misinterpreting this so any information is appreciated.
Thanks for the comment and question. Lambda (and similar variables) are not representations but tools for the purposes of control. Metaphorically, you can compare them to the pedals and steering wheel of a car. You can use them to accomplish various tasks, but they themselves do not represent those tasks.
@@MarkPSU thank you for the response Mark, I should have been more specific in my query. It was mentioned that referent configuration was a mechanism of LAMDA. Does this relate to internal models? Is referent configuration a “blue print” for motor control? Thanks again
@@PilsungITF Referent configuration of the body is generalization of the concept of lambda as within the EP-hypothesis. The two concepts (lambda and RC) are equivalent. You can say that lambda is RC for a single muscle.
@@MarkPSU thank you sir for clarifying. Very much appreciated
Excellent discussion
Ok this is epic
Thanks for the mention! Always great to see the topics we research being discussed.

Wow , what a quality content I found on UA-cam❤ Sir I heared you in your online guest talk at IISER PUNE. Glad to see you doing such good work🎉🎉🎉
Great to see 2 successful people of IISER PUNE in one frame❤
Wagenmakers is in denial. He had already lost this debate empirically in like 2011 (I&V beyond 1/f) and he still came out with disrespectful nonsense after that. Advances in multifractal and surrogate analysis since then only put it further out of sight. The mandelbros are triumphant! 😂
Thanks both!
Our pleasure!

Might want to check "Gibson and Time: The Temporal Framework for Direct Perception," in Ecological Psychology, Jan., 2023, for a more developed view on this subject.

The timestamps really help! Loving this podcast.
Totally agree ecological psychology needs more resources on youtube. These podcasts have been great.
Thanks @bigpicturesoccer1915
Okk now I got it.... thank you soo much
You are doing great work madhur sir but I want to add one suggestion plz add English subtitles also when any foreigner is with you sir....bcz many of students including even me didn't get what they they are saying....its my humble request to you sir
Dear Mugdha, clicking the [cc] button below the video should show English subtitles. Have you tried that?
Thank you so much..I haven't tried yet but I will definitely try
Nice session
8:11 "They require direct perception"... Big aha moment for me. Dr Jeff really makes it all much clearer!
