Vertical clutch insight: The top wheel is slightly transparent so you can see a wheel below it being dropped to engage with the running wheel below it when the two levers holding it are disengaged. The two wheels being connected through this process cause the chronograph mechanism to start spinning along with the rest of the gears.
@@daddymo7387 There is nothing to see even in slow motion. The part indicated as the vertical clutch does not move, does not go up, does not go down, does not rotate, does not do anything. Two unrelated parts move underneath it and, as if by magic, the seconds hand starts moving, without any logical interaction with the surroundings and no visible difference from the previous state, when the seconds hand was not moving. While things are clear when it comes to the horizontal clutch and one can see the difference between the two states (standing still versus motion) and the movement in a logical chain, there is absolutely nothing meaningful to see for the vertical clutch.
It looks like the two arms - between upper and lower cog - act as breaks for the upper cog. When stopped, the two arms connect with the upper cog and stop it running. When running, the two arms move away from the upper cog, allowing it to turn with the lower cog.

Where's the 6159 chrono movement?

It is impossible to understand how the vertical clutch is working from this video -- very bad illustration.
it is very clear to me. put it on slow morion at 0.25x that will definitely show it clearly
