The only vehicle I stepped aboard was a green double decker as a photographer stepped out of it as I walked past and I asked are you allowed to do that and I got a muffled response, I took one step on and off to check inside no fowl play and quickly stepped off. All my videos are edited and I don't use a huge camera or even take photos and I use a very small camera on a extendable stick to get my footage, so when I go through a window etc , I respect no entry signs and tapes and from my visit I don't think I did anything wrong. I respect my surroundings and other visitors and visiting. the museum I wasn't spoken to by any volunteers to say you shouldn't be there or that's not allowed . Maybe it's the way I edit my video as it's cropped or re shot in a different angle. I apologise to you and the KBM if you thought I had gone through barriers or ropes or chains or entered an no entry to public vehicle .

Thank you for that. You must realise that certain areas are restricted for safety and security. KBM welcomes all visitors and is a very friendly place and nobody would want to jeopardise that.

@jmhale5874 No problem … i like to be fully transparent and rewatched the video again and understand your concern but never crossed any chains or barriers or tapes just followed the approved what i deemed as walking areas just used an extendable pole for video .

We have all these photos in our collection hidden away and thought this was a way to share the world of a humble independent bus company that had a fantastic and loyal following with staff and customers and very interesting fleet and history when you research them. I used to work for Ok in the 80's and have great unforgettable memories when I was working there at Bishop Auckland depot.

@@leytonexile many thanks for your comment There are several preservation groups within the north east that are always short of full pcv manual licence holders to drive there vehicles on service or events but you need to become a member .

@@The-Silent-Rider Becoming a member isn't a problem. Living in Cornwall is! I drive for Plymouth Citybus in Cornwall but happy to volunteer if I'm up that way. I can drive crashbox, preselect or auto/semi auto buses.

Cannot agree more, on a modern Go Ahead Wrightbus Streetdeck hybrid yesterday and so pleased to get off at the 'Toon' . I didnt know if it was stalling or juddering or saving fuel, the vibrations and squeeking like it was full of canaries. Worst was that was my bus upon return journey later that evening double trouble with 6363 and the driver got lost took a wrong turn and we had to reverse in a cul-de-sac and try again around the roundabout to take the correct turn.

Many thanks for comment, it was totally original the seats / moquette and the recliners all works and even the seat plastic end trims with the Plaxton Scarborough castle logo were all present and not broken. Lovely vehicle a pleasure to ride on her .

I remember they all had them till the bored drivers picked and picked at them on there breaks till they they went missing.

@The-Silent-Rider they were Leopards I think. The rear upright engine would make loading difficult. I'd never seen them. Very unique.

@@jamesfrench7299 Yes your right .. I meant to say Leopard, you just reminded me when you mentioned your location and Leylands, and I doubt old buses and engines wouldn't be scrapped but recycled somehow ... Thanks for correcting me.
