these are the ultimate toys, as they were shared through generations! Even though modern fabrication processes can even produce better detailing it's no longer so desireable as these former ones.
like this video, i love it . as i said about the previous video, the tiny lesney / matchbox toys are among the most attractive. i remember as a child the commer lyons maid ice cream van, and the karrier bantam coca cola wagon were among my favorites. will there be anymore videos like this? would love to see the bulldozers/ tractors plant etc , covered along with more municipal vehicles, and emergency vehicles. it would also be nice to see the major pack range and the kingsize range.
takes me right back to my childhood , playing with these on the hearth rug in our livingroom . offered alongside it's competitors husky, ( made by corgi toys, and sold mainly in woolworths stores) i think they were around the same price though , 2'6. as a kid in short trousers , i was often bought these, as an alternative to the other die-cast cars such as corgi, dinky , tri-ang spot on or the matchbox kingsize. as these were cheaper to buy, and were very attractive little cars.
the american cars of the late 50's & 60's by lesney are the best!

Love those toys. Seeing other collectors's experiences, I've decided to make my master's degree dissertation about Matchbox Collectors.

I was too young to know these, but it s interesting to see the evolution none the less.
I like lesney but I only collect redlines because matchbox doesn't sell well :(
