First time I heard this version of 'Moontrane' in it's entirety...very bright and brilliantly permformed not played...these Cats don't play... around that iz😁🎺🎺🎷🎹🎻🥁🎼🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎶🎶🎵🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
Playing melody Morgan really trying to sound like Getz , then he loses it and goes to his routine.
So beautiful, that theme! And what a great idea to creating so many different songs with only one theme, as Abdullah Ibrahim did !
That trombone solo....absolutely magnificent. Unbelievably good.
WoooooOoooooo!!!!!
Higurashi --love your taste.
The big sound school
Jazz is incomplete without a sense of humor.Thank you, Mr.Mingus!
Sentimental jazz for sentimental reasons.❤
Bird Lives
SlavicMaleChorus never listened to the whole thing! After their initial solos, most of it is both of them playing against each other, without mute.
Really great.
❤
Una belleza!!!! ❤ 🎷🍷🍷
It reminds me of my late dad, Bra Balty MHSRIP
JOHN HICKS (p), Bobby Watson (asax), Curtis Lundy (b) and Victor Lewis (d) in 1988.
Outstanding!
Just Does IT⤴️
who play first ? from begining to 00:50 ?
Google "Giant Steps" and "The Cannonball Adderley Quinetet in San Francisco" and listen for 30 seconds or so. Then you will know
Has been my favourite for half a century.
So fine, so dreamy . . .
アルバム全曲をアップしてほしい、素敵なアルバムです。
I don't know these two trumpet young lions team up. But for sure Freddie had to be impressed with the incompatible Lee Morgan, because at this time Lee was kicking ass a hard bop trumpeter on blue note records and at this time about 25 years old most old school jazz giant were taking him seriously. Because of his brilliants of understanding of arrangement and composition of putting the right notes in place. Fine album Lee Edward Morgan I am very proud that he was born in my hometown Philadelphia Pennsylvania . And so was McCoy Tyner, Bobby Timmon, Shirly Scott, Charles Earling, John Coltrane, Jymie Merrit, the Health Brother, and so many other talents from Soul music Classic R & B .
this is my granddad💕 so proud
JAZZ straight ahead or bust. This is LIT. 😳
Love this piece!!❤
Now this right here.......
If You'll be able to play completely free you might find your own Sound. Mcpherson speeks a lot of that connecting your own voice with the instrument.
There's some vounarably in his voice as you you always hear in for instant in Billy Hollidays also. Something that always herds a little. That the connection between the horn and his own voice that yüu only hears by great musicians.
Great - listening to this on scratchy vinyl, had to share it with a friend, thank goodness you put this here.
I love this album. It's got that great Ray Charles feeling going on
the kind of music that will make you weep
This music masterpiece reminds me of my dad... from playing this tune on cassette to now playing it on Apple Music in his car. (Memories)
Beautiful song. Never thought I'd be moved by a flute solo, but here we are. Oddly not on Spotify but the rest of the album is
