What do I win if I can guess the color? 😅
Man, the El Camino is looking straight!! Nice work bud!!
Thanks really appreciate it!
In other news, GM is brining back the El Comino next year. It just won't have the style and charm of these earlier models.
I'll have to check that out!
Block party. Great title. It definitely is a labor of love and is so dependent on what you want your finished product to look like. Do we want a SEMA car or a driver? For me it’s a driver all day long. Good stuff.
The spectrum is definitely wide on what someone wants. I enjoy a nice daily driver, it's fun doing show cars once in a while.
Hey great video . just keep after it .
Thanks! slow and steady.
So glad to see this rig getting back in shape. It's been too long.
For sure too long! I miss beating on this thing
Oh this should be fun. Oven cleaner huh? Good idea. Looking forward to this one.
I like oven cleaner better than engine degreaser, seems to work better in my opinion.
More like a resurrection! Good work bro.
Appreciate it! thats the word ha
It's a Reviseriseation 😂
words are hard😂
Look forward to Monday's drop 👍
This build will take awhile but it will be cool when done!
@rockitgarage23 Absolutely
First time watching but that’s sick
Thanks! I try to do diffrent things as much as I can
@ I’m going to have to see them, subscribing man!
@‘s always break lol
Good job got to like the straight 6 sound.
thanks! it's got a nice tone now, straight pipe sounded good, but the drone was so bad!
Lookin good. It’s all about the prep work. I’m having the same problem with my cyclone. Thin metal, blow outs, patching. Have you ever used the 2k epoxy primers in a spray can? I’ve been using one from spraymax with good success.
I have not used the cans of 2k, I've seen them but normally I go through primer pretty quick, so it's cheaper for me to buy the gallon.
You're going through all of this hard work knowing full well Kyle's gonna coat those quarter panels in rubber the first 15 minutes he's back behind the wheel
But at least it'll look good for that first 15 mins haha!
and I'd be pretty mad if he didn't do burnouts
Just added a another layer of clear it will be fine
@kman24244 good idea!
Always a fascinating watch!
Thanks! I do my best!
Such a bummer about that other quarter panel. But at least now it's looking better than ever!
Just get another one, how hard could it be 😂. Didn't they make like 500 of these things?
yeah, that's the way it goes sometimes! but it's coming together now!
and Kyle murdered the last one he had🤣 so 499 left
lots of preload on those bearings
that's ford for ya
Dude I’m not a axhole lol
😂
Bloody hell you made a big job out of a small one is there something wrong with you ,are you on the spectrum
probably 🤣, wanted to put my eyes on everything, this truck has been wheeled hard and it's nice to just have a look, in my opinion.
You make putting a rear end back together sound easy. And it is if you know what you're doing, but if you don't forget about it.
ford 9 inch is pretty simple, need a few tools and google is a good source for info if it's your first time, taking your time and double checking everything helps.
Wasn’t the bearing was it?
yes, had my fingers crossed because I've wheeled this thing hard and was hoping for just failed bearing.
As soon as you said bad axle my brain said no that's a wheel bearing but I've been through it's a time or two
I knew the Bearing was failing but it's happened multiple times now, after checking I believe it was just from hard wheeling and cheap bearings, so on reassembly I'm taking mental notes of how well it works and check it every so often.
Hey great video. would you shed some knowledge on how you went about measuring that? Ive got an 85c10 and itd be good to know just incase
I took a digital angle gauge to both sides of the flanges, subtract the difference if any. did this after everything was disassembled. super easy way of doing it.
Thank you for shouting out our little name!
No problem! I've been running those strut rods for about 6 years now and love them! Yall make a great product.
New subscriber here. Love your work. I’m trying to do the same thing at my shop. I have a 65 Mercury Comet Cyclone. I’ll be watching you to get some ideas.
Awesome! That's what it's about getting people inspired and hopefully giving some good tips.
Out of your life? This is a customers car?
Yes, one of my uncles cars, it's a budget build. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to do it, but is definitely a challenge with the budget, still fun and will hopefully do this ol girl justice for what it is.
I think a good budget build is the way to go. Especially if the car will be used regularly.
Jealous how much dry space you have!
it's definitely nice! could always use more space.
We are restoring our 1968 camaro. You make it look easy.
Editing helps with that ha! hard work, but for me worth it. I enjoy it, most of the time 😂
Plot twist, Brandon uses engine degreaser on his oven
@kylekebler891 first off, don't tell my secrets😅, that's something big deagreaser doesn't want you to know!
I was just looking at your shop the last video and thinking I want a Quonset style building. That shops looks huge af. Did you build it or have it installed?
Fence post I found out it’s best to use old drilling pipe. 3in cemented in for the corners.
luckily the building itself was already here, I've been doing everything else to get it to be used as a shop. its 4000 sqft so definitely a lot more room than I've ever had ha!
not a bad idea
Replaced my hubs on my Silverado several times until I replaced them with Timkin brand. 150k miles later and still going. 6” lift with 35x12.5 wide tires.
good parts help! nice!
Hello, "Rockit Garage" I saw your channel and saw that in your channel have some problems, not many. For these problems your channel is not growing. If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. Do you want to know these problem? If you Want to know, I can only tell to you. Can I tell here or email?
Those are some expensive wheel spacers.
😂 right!?
Where are you located i have the same car
middle TN, nice it's a cool car!
“This shirt is getting thrown away!” 😂😂 Said that myself about two shirts and a pair of pants when I had to do the cam and lifters on my ‘13 Sierra this spring lol. When it was finally all back together, those clothes went straight to the trash can. 😂😂
yep!😂 sometimes a good shirt turns into not so good real fast haha!
Tijuana runner is what we call them trucks.
🤣
Lol, I love how conveniently overlooked the fact that he never extracted those broken waterpump bolts...lol
@MidwestToolReview hey! We don't talk about that haha, until it leaks or blows up, then I'll worry about it🤣
Your air compressor running constantly is creating heat which in turn creates condensation inside your air tank. This will eventually cause condensation build up to get past the best of filters into your air lines that can cause your fisheye problems. To help avoid that you will have to do a daily drain down of your air compressor to eliminate condensation build up. This is especially true and may require an additional purging of the tank on the days when you run your compressor really hard using your larger orbital sanders to help keep your air system as dry as possible. I am fairly certain that you may already know this. However if you were unaware...this should help in the elimination of this and very well may help one of your audience whom may have been unaware due to lack of experience. I sincerely hope this has helped you and your audience members whom tune in to you. Gene
You're correct on all that, good advice for everyone! I drain my tank multiple times a day and drain the lines. I'm running my compressor past its cfm, mine is 11.5 cfm at 90psi and the sanders are around 15 cfm wide open, so it is taxing on the system for sure. thanks for watching and giving some info for those that don't know.
Use an Electric sander that's what I use
I prefer the pneumatic stuff, but I have used some electric sanders before.

When you out the truck in neutral do you keep the key in? Do you unplug the battery? I can’t take mine out and I don’t want it to be on while I work on it.
I had mine in neutral, I would take the neg cable off.
@@rockitgarage23 any updates? I’m having the same problems now. Getting codes 634 and 654 MLPS higher or lower voltage than expected and not in park during KOEO test.
Cool
I'm disappointed you didn't put a hood stack on it😢
I'm saving that design for the bronco😂
