Simply changing the muffler will give you drone from 2.5 to 3000 rpm but simply adding their mid-pipe resonators will eliminate it. Most all of the people I’ve seen online who have done this exhaust did not add them to it (which is a mistake).

Tires are larger but the wheels are still 17s. Direct bolt on replacement with no spacers. Tires are a thicker sidewall on both and deeper depth on the back. I’ll do a video on the change soon 👍

The rear bumper panel? I did it with just one can of original black plastidip. No glossifier top coat because I wanted the satin/flat black look. Was really easy! Definitely give it a go 👍

No but you can ad Plastidip Glossifier to it once it’s dried for a couple of hours to get a glossier look. I just like the satin look myself so I don’t use the glossifier. Just basic black plastidip

I added it on my 3s hatchback (that was also liquid-silver and a 2010 🤪) but knew That with the speed3 I was either going with flat black or carbon wrap on the roof so I decided to keep it more flat/satin this time to match. Also, on a side note, when I used glossifier on my last cars lower bumper, possibly because of the larger surface area, I had some noticeable lines where the layers were overlapped. Never had that issue with wheels and glossifier so I think it was my inability to cover larger areas smoothly with it. So that’s probably another reason I opted against using in on the same area this time. Still holding up well. I’ll have to cross my fingers that I didn’t just jinx it. LOL!

I believe I did 4 coats total and then a very light (to get the trim area wet) coat around the trim to peel off the tape. Used plastidip black only, no glossifier. I’ve done the same panel once before on my Mazda3 sport prior to my Speed3 and that time I used the glossifier. I honestly didn’t like the look as well so this time I left that last step off and it turned out so much better. Still holding up very well also 👍 Thanks for watching and sorry I didn’t see your question till just now.

I waited about 20 minutes between coats. Then one final light coat immediately before removing the trim line tape so I got a sharp edge. (Wet plastidip leaves a sharp line and dry plastidip sticks to the tape and comes up with it). Thanks for watching. Had 4 uploads ready to go on my phone (still just using an iPhone to film at the moment) but it died and I lost them all. So I’ve got to re-record them all BUT I do have more stuff coming! More rally’s, more car shows and more mods. Next one for the MazdaSpeed is the exhaust for mine and vinyl wrapping a friends Speed3 hood. Both hopefully filming this coming week as long as parts get here :)
