This is kind of sad. Some of these ships were still beautiful, on the exterior. I would guess that some were still seaworthy, or they would have to have been towed. Oh well, I couldn't afford to sail one, even for a few hours, even if it were given to me, so I shouldn't complain, or be sad about it being scrapped.

Is it because their next survey is coming up and the repairs to make them compliant are too expensive? But I thought when that happens, they just sell them to an owner in a country that has less stringent standards?
