Gun control is the 'easy' answer, but not a solution to the problem, at least in the US. The fact that there are more guns that people in this country means that the prospect of removing them completely is impossible. More so, enacting law that would force the population to give up their arms would require the use of arms to do so. The act of using guns to take guns from the population is by definition tyrannical. When guns become outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. So, we need to start having the serious conversations of reducing violent tendencies by increasing alternatives that lead to violence. Dangerous freedom will always be a better alternative to submissive safety.

Disarming the population is all about safety, the safety of the corrupt, abusive government.
