you gotta try one of the revo5 variants brother I got my sx yesterday and its my favorite reel now its also a little cheaper than the slx dc and the icvb6 brakes are continuously variable so it gives the feel of a dc without being a dc

China beat Shimano to the punch with electronic brake smart reel.
Is this reel fine for 50lbs braid and a jig rod? Casting jigs and heavier wire swimjigs? Or should i get a other model dc reel?
The reel is a size 70 so you won’t get much line on the spool. But the reel can handle heavy jigs

This is a medium light set up so yes, get the scorpion for the 150 size spool
I would say the 7'6 Shimano GLF casting rod would be perfect for that 300 Tranx
I put the tranx 301 on a phenix ultra classic swim bait rod.
So I’ve got the scorpion DC, which is the five and it makes no noise and my Corrado with the four makes the whining noise. Heard other people say that too so you do not have a defective reel

That is what people get wrong about fishing. They get all this overkill gear and brag about how they never loose a fish. If you want to have fun fishing you simply use the lightest gear to catch the biggest fish you can with it. You have light gear =You had a great time..Good job bro 👍

Might I suggest daiwa j braidx8, I've tried so many braids including PP, I think PP was the loudest, lost color the fastest, and felt the worst.
