Damn tasty singletrack
Gotta love fall riding!
What camera are you using ?
Gopro 11
You were much more calm and agreeable than I could have been. Especially if there is a leash law there.
I’ve noticed dog walkers bringing large groups of dogs to partridge hills (10+)… had the same issue coming down swipe right last week and was swarmed by a big group of dogs. Nothing wrong with dogs out on trails but keep them close by, in smaller numbers and under control 🤷🏻
Agreed!
Was that an OFF-LEASH park ???
As far as I understand, dogs are not allowed off leash on BC parks land (which I believe this mtb trail is on).
@@MINIMALmtb this is correct
that’ll get the HR up! mainly goofy sporting dogs until the pitbull showed up!
That wasn't a pitbull. It looks like a ridgeback / something mix . Buddy has no excuse for the lack of their control however. The only thing that pisses me off more than people who know nothing about dogs is dog owners who know nothing about resposnsible ownership * end rant *.
"I think you're good to go" 😂 Poor dogs have an idiot owner
I think it may have been a dog walker that ended up on the wrong trail or something. I thought I could ride away from the first ones but more and more kept emerging from the woods and chasing me
@@MINIMALmtb makes sense. dog walkers are required to wear reflective vests, at least in the greater Vancouver area.
Toto je čiré šílenství a koledování si o dožití na kolečkové židli - DOUFÁM ZE TO NENI RODINNÝ ZÁZNAM !!!
gnarly ride man, love this trail!
Nice. Have a happy thanksgiving.
likewise! 🦃
w vid love your videos
Appreciate it!
Nice. Got a slight Thornhill vibe.
I love this trail I first rode it at age 10 🔥
@@Bread_Is_Nummy nice! That’s super impressive
Thanks my dad is a great mountain biker and runs a bike program called amp so I started at a young age
Thanks for clearly putting the location & trail name! (many of the other mtb van channels dont share jack and just want views)
Cheers! Yea I don't see an issue with sharing sanctioned trail names. I try to always link to the related trail associations as well in the descriptions.
what camera do you use? love the footage and videos,!!!
Cheers! GoPro 11
All these trails look so flowy and fun! I need to take a trip to the island some time.
Lots of great riding over here!
It shows the class of terrain we're lucky to have on the west coast. The island, sunshine coast, just a ferry ride away, but there's always something a bit closer.
sweet. I just bought an optic, love it so far
Nice, they are sweet bikes!
How's the 150 Lyrik up front vs the 140 Pike feel? Thx
@@User-j5q7r it’s a lot less flexy. I think it rides a lot better, more confidence inspiring
Is the weight difference noticeable when you want to point the front tire somewhere on punchy climbs?
@@User-j5q7r hmm not something I’ve really thought about. Can’t say I noticed any differences from the weight. It rides a lot better than the pike in my opinion, though it does have a better damper so that’s part of it
This... this is burks flow! Omg, it looks like a big powder ridge!! LOLWTF
Well? What do you think? Worth that long ride up to the top? Haven't ridden it myself but would love to give it a try.
Absolutely! It is a bit of a slog to get up there but these type of long technical trails are my favourite. Need to ride it a few more times to figure out the lines
Fun trail! I've ridden it a couple times this year, I love that swoopy section and the stumps with faces on them!
Is that a black in Island Time ? :)
What kind of bike are you riding here?
@@williamsway4577 yt jeffsy!
Heading there next month, thank you for uploading! Great riding and really helps with the trail research.
Have a good trip!
I just bought a optic sick bike
Sweet! They're super versatile bikes
It’s crazy how capable they are for 125 140 travel
Awesome trails
Please reply u also suffer from this injury
@@ramakantrajput2071 hope you heal quickly! It took about 2 months to mostly heal. Physio was helpful after about a month
Broken part heal with vertebra
Looks fun! Btw - if you put a foam wind cover over your gopro it will eliminate all the background wind noise
Those berms look awesome!
You had a few close calls this video. Hope you're all right.
Thanks, all good! Definitely a reminder that Victoria rocks ≠ Squamish rocks
Nice. Another one to put on the " list ".
It's an awesome spot!
Jordie Lunn Bike Park & Langford Gravity Zone? The place is amazing! 👍
So good! Learned my lesson about the wet rocks though 😂
Great brake control !
Are you still rocking the 140mm fork on your optic? bringing mine over from aus in 2 weeks and worried it wont be enough travel
I put a 150mm Lyrik on it, but 140 is still doable for most stuff!
I really love your channel! K.I.S.S. at its finest=) what is your complete filming set up if you don't mind sharing?
Appreciate it! Been using the GoPro 11 mini mounted under visor lately
I think this trail is in my top 5 favorite in WA. I had a blast on it.
Leavenworth is awesome. On this trip we also hiked the Enchantments and went to Oktoberfest which was a blast
Endor is great as well, cant wait until theyre all connected through that middle section 👍
These look so fun I don’t live far I need make the drive and check these out.
Definitely worth it, some of my favourite trails around
Currently waiting on my optic to arrive and your video is scratching my itch
Such a good bike!
Can’t wait till it’s winter here in Langford bc it’s always so dusty and dry during half the year. great trail though
@@EricB-F yup! So dry and dusty lately but what can you do. We need some rain!
It looks safe. The expert or funner trail that runs beside it is called , The Holy Grail.
@@Gretsch0997 will have to check that next time, I definitely want to get back here again
Rad! I really want to do this on my way out of town tomorrow. I’ve never been to this area. Looking at Trailforks, I’m a little confused where I should park and start the climb. Do you mind pointing me in the right direction? Thanks a million!
@@LEGENDofBEANY this is one where it’s kind of hard to explain but I pedalled the road up and took pinch flat alley up to Cabin Fever and Cabin Trail to access. You could alternatively climb Old Buck or Good Sir Martin and access it from the bottom of Cabin Trail. If you can get a shuttle up, ride CBC first for an all time Shore lap. Hope that helps, enjoy!
@@MINIMALmtb thank you so much!!!!! I really appreciate that. I’m solo, what are the chances of hitching a shuttle up from someone midweek?
are you the persn in your thumbnails?
Yep
The Island looks SOOOO good. Love your videos. Me and my friends, usually in the process of talking about a trail we want to try for the first time end up referencing a video of yours that we've seen for the trail. Helps a ton thanks man
Awesome, glad to hear that the videos are useful! So much good riding on the Island and the best part is most of it is rideable year round.
Same for me - an excellenty trail guide / reference
Nice riding... I wouldn't want try those crazy wood features, but fun to see you nail them : )
Tip o' the hat for riding in this heat. I'm headed out today but shuttling might be on the cards. I find this weather oppressive
I went early in the day to beat the heat luckily. This heat is definitely brutal but I’m sure we’ll miss it once winter rolls around. Trails everywhere could definitely use some moisture
What bike are you riding? I'm looking to getting back into it and used to go down Ledgeview
Norco Optic. Something similar would be perfect for Ledgeview
@@MINIMALmtb Thanks!
Quick question I pushed my back brake handle in and heard a crack and lost brake power for a second but it came back after I let go of the brake and tried again. Why did the happen ?
@@midnight6532 might have air in the brake line or something. I would get a shop to take a look!
Ha ha, I like the high pitched panic sounds - I may, or may not do something similar myself :)
