I took delivery of my 2025 Hobie Pro Angler 14 for the Hobie Fishing team and Glacier camo is fire!
Another year in the books and man it went by fast. I turned in the 2024 Hobie Pro Angler 360XR and picked up the new 2025 Pro Angler. I'm really excited about this new boat and the upgrades that will be going on it this year to include the Newport stern motor.

Just like the title says we headed out in the colder weather and the bite was fantastic. The trout bite especially. The new Zman Prawn Star was the bait of the day and was a lot of fun. We ended the day with inshore slams and dozens of fish.

Colder weather has made it to northeast Florida and we head out on a mission to find some redfish, trout and flounder. We launched the Hobies and put the new Prawn Star from Zman to work and it does not disappoint.

A little friendly competition to land a big trout on a specific topwater lure by Mirrolure resulted in several over 20" inch trout but Ron ended up with a massive almost 30" inch stud on topwater. Yes almost 30". All the trout were released healthy to be caught again. Thanks for watching and if you have any questions feel free to message me in the comments.

A slow start turned into a great day of catching. Redfish, trout, and flounder were the target species and we grinded it out until we got them. The weather and cloud cover made for a perfect day to take the Live Watersports L4 Expedition out and I focused primarily on topwater lures, specifically the Zara Spook in bone color. Ron and I hit the inshore waters of Jacksonville, Florida way before sunrise to catch the tides just right and it paid off for both of us with some nice inshore northeast Florida slams. I got an invite out to fish on my old boat and it was just "one of those days". We hit the water before sunrise and were ready to go at first light. The day was non stop action on redfish, trout and flounder and we were done by 11:00 am. Jeff and I both ended up with northeast Florida inshore slams and just had a fantastic time.

We had a quick fishing window before heading to ICast and I'm so glad we capitalized on it. First light launch led to a spectacular sunrise and a incredible 28" topwater redfish. The fishing in Northeast Florida has been just as hot as the temperature. Typical summer fishing see the trends of fish moving to deeper, cooler water however it hasn't slowed down inshore. The redfish, trout, flounder and yes tarpon are all over the place and we head out at first light and try and put some on the Hobie Pro Angler 360 XR before the heat of day.
