I keep seeing the EGM one, but I swear Gamepro had a variant that I can't find info for anywhere. I swear it only required you to beat the game once Leon A / Claire B or vice versa) while only saving a restrictive number of time, and don't remember having to put in a code, just press a button in a specific room that was actually interactable. I know the button could be interacted with because I never would have made it to Scenaro B if it wasn't, and it was when I reached the Tyrant at the end of Scenario B that I realized the game requires you to use a rocket launcher at least once or you cannot win. Now, to be fair, I didn't know it was an April Fool's joke when I started. A friend of mine was talking about it, but wasn't good enough at the game to do it. He showed me the articles and I only read what I needed to know to do the run "successfully". I was pretty good at the game, and already doing saveless runs for fun (I remember dying at about the same spot in Scenario A 90% of the time, most likely due to boredom and fatigue than anything else, but did have at least one full A&B saveless completion). Learned pretty quickly which enemies I could avoid, and already knew how far I could make it between each save, and was also getting there faster now that I was fighting less enemies. It wasn't until I got to Tyrant at the end of Scenario B that I paused the game and started looking at the magazine with a bit more scrutiny, and that's when I noticed it under the heading "Lamepro" and the issue was the April issue. If nothing else it was a fun challenge, but now I can't find the Gamepro version of this "trick" anywhere.

Haddad means the blacksmith in Arabic, and I'm sure Paul Haddad was strong as a blacksmith and managed to confront his life's difficulties.
