Waterloo 1970 Quatre Bra and Ligny restored.
Переглядів 2,7 тис.Рік тому
This is the version of Waterloo I always wished existed. Main Changes Battle of Ligne is restored to correct position. Quatre Bras appears. The Scots Greys actually encounter infantry. The surrender of the Old Guard is more in accord with history. Lots of other edits to original sequence. Additional scenes from other movies/reenactments Deleted scene restored. i.e. aerial shots of Hougomount.

I love Gavin, but Marco is fricken fantastic on drums as well. This album is only very short list of perfect albums start to finish.
I wish that the director had that one soldier welcome Napoleon back by raising his musket, then walk toward Napoleon, stopping before him at full attention in salute and offering a firm handshake rather than fainting. The fainting comes across as the soldier appearing weak or feminine instead of being in awe in Napoleon's presence as it was probably intended. But it wasn't my film and Sergei did it his way.
Well, you can say that Napoleon is so dominant that a young conscript just faints in front of him.
In the “Ligny” scenes, I think I spotted a few clips from War And Peace.
Yes, its clear to see. Nice idea by the way.
Memo to Sir Ridley Scott GBE, This is how you do it!
A pitty that this one isn´t available on BlueRay as a Director Cut.
Thanks Mick, this is a fine film. No CGI, real scenes.
artitst my friends.... not many of those left on the planet
1:01:20 That's a cool little insert I think And the bits from a reenactment are also interesting.
Good job......
This is an amazing compilation- thank you for satiating our Raven needs 🙂
No problem 😊
I never saw that Guthrie version of the Drive Home solo, and I thought I'd seen all of them. Magnificent.
Believe it or not, he actually played a bum note in the original video [to my ears anyway] . I edited the bad note out because this was, to me, the best available live version.
Thank you for sharing
Что было и что стало.... Педиков каких то насобирал... Стоят...рожи какие то корчат...вихляются...отстой какой то
Beautifully great!😍
Those added scenes that show the scale of the army on the march really so make a difference. Nice job!
Most of the added scenes are not actually from the film Waterloo (1970). What the guy who uploaded this has done, is add a bunch of random scenes from the Soviet-made war and peace films, such as the French army crossing of river Niemnen and scenes from the battle of Borodino.
@@BigManHoratio Yes thought they were familiar. But still worth it.
@@BigManHoratio I did make that clear in the video decription.
Soft Machine reborn is what the "Watchmaker" reminds me of ,from a very lomg time ago @ Goldsmiths coleage New Cross London,or the Roundhouse as it was.pre gentrification, what a horible word. But this is serious shit!
❤❤
Spectacular 😀
The flute melts.
Of course, Steven always had top musicians around him. But with Govan and Minnemann, it's my favorite line-up.
This is no less inaccurate than what we got but would have at least been exciting.
how do you know this is fake. You weren't there.
😂
The movie itself is already a parody. But great job
Exelent the idea to clip this video at UA-cam. It´s magic. I like too much this album. Excelente la idea de subir este videa a UA-cam. Es mágico. Me gusta muchísimo este álbum.
Adam Holzman, just freaking rules the ivories -role the bones Adam. ☯©😎😎
I love this Steven Wilson music, especially with guitarist Guthrie Govan. 17:38 Solo is incomparable. I want to cry
Ese solo! Me recuerda a los mejores del Sr. Gilmour... Impresionante.
Amazing. Too bad SW has departed from these type of style to go more into electronic music. Still great but I kind of wish he stayed with prog/rock and kept playing with Guthrie and Marco
But that’s just not Steven’s way is it? We know this and it’s what makes him truly progressive
in all truth, he insulted the vast majority of bass players here. lol.
Marco is insane
Love this music first time to discover this band.❤
WELCOM
Awesome when your clips get added to other folks vids 😮😂
Geddy is God 👍
Thank you for the trip down memory lane…
Esto es arte y del verdadero.
What a Great Prog Album From Start to Finish! By Steven Wilson and All His Supporting Band Members! 💙🎹🎸🥁🎸😎

Cheers for uploading this, you are a high quality human. Edit: love this version of Drive Home. Magnificent.
Nice impro and lovely tone.
Oh... Geddy....
Legend.
good
Alex was right all along about the Keyboards and synthesizers draining the organic 3-piece sound from the music. There are some really weak songs on some of those 80's records. Presto is by far the worst. Hold Your Fire isn't much better. Power Windows was a good record but missed the huge opportunity of being a great record because of the dense keyboards often not enhancing the song. That record had a lot of promising tracks on it thst got diluted down with the over use and sometimes inappropriate use of keyboards.
Great video, learned alot from MR LEE, and learned alot more watching this video! Thanks for upload, and thank you MR LEE for a life time of showing us how the bass should be approached and PLAYED! thank you MR LEE, hope to hear an watch more videos explaining how you do it, thank you!
As I saw in a rehearsal video "that's it, that's what I does". That's basically Geddy. Humble, personable, humorous, and leaves a bit of mystery.
That was brilliant 🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏
i love that they doesnt "edit" the sound, so you hear no slides etc. just pure geddy!
So glad to hear mention Greg Lake. I think he sometimes gets over looked!! Entwistle had the formula for most modern Bass players!!
He’s got that Schmgilca lol
