I did not realize your channel was called carry-on I had to double check I see what you did there lol Also, I think next year Southwest will be going assigned seating. I just don’t know when it will start. I just hope they don’t do away with the two free checked bags even though I only take one bag with me and a carry-on. I can remember taking Continental and there was no check bags fees I used to find really good deals on Southwest for example, I could find a flight from Houston my hometown to New York or Boston 129 one-way but I don’t see that very much anymore when they started flying to Hawaii they had a special going out of California for like $90.

I flew them a lot when I had a brief stint working there. The job wasn’t for me but I liked the vibe flying them. I wouldn’t mind paying for them. The seats on the 800s and MAXs are just god-tier for economy seats.

Another thing. Southwest has full fare tickets the boarding pass has Y printed on it. The reason they are full fare is because we pay for the cost of running the jet. The discounted fare tickets are extra. I got into it with a husband wife team at love field. The weather was getting bad so I got on the earlier flight I had a full fare ticket. They called the cops on me. The woman at the gate told them they accommodate full fare ticket holders because we are funding the flight

But my family is scattered in Utah, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Flying on an airline that offers fast turnaround and point to point service is the only way to cross that distance in a reasonable amount of time.

If southwest bought boeing sonic cruisers I would gleefully give up comfort for higher speed.

Southwest is not a small low cost carrier they are the largest domestic carrier by far. They do not offer extreme luxury wine and dine but they are usually on time. They are usually more expensive last minute than united or American but you can usually get a seat. I am not a luxury traveler I want to get to places in a reasonable amount of time. Southwest does that really well.

Nick, you come back to making content, especially long-form. I know how it can be with a small channel and how much work it is to film and edit and how you don't get the views that you should... It makes you wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze. But you're energy and delivery is great! By the end I realized I was smiling or laughing through most of the video. SOUTHWEST is worth it! just make sure to check in ASAP! 24 hours right before the flight time.... honestly worth it! and their rewards NEVER EXPIRE! idk what other airliner also does that! on top of FREE check in BAGS! ETC! your money goes a longgg way! Also the 737-800 is a huge improvement! especially if its a MAX model too!

Southwest is worth it when I book business select so I can sit towards the front of the plane. And tons of rapid reward credit with two free checked bags :)

For local travel on the west coast, yes Southwest is worth every penny. Probably the worst part of Southwest is no assigned seating. However, ever since they ditched the 1st come 1st served cattle call (that was a disaster), and switched to a board by group number system, it's not bad at all. Just check in as close to 24hrs prior to your flight as possible. Two free checked bags? What other airline lets you check even one bag for free? Their on time performance is generally very good, and frequency of flights is another great perk of Southwest. Lastly... they are flying to Hawaii now! Aloha!!
