There are a lot of innacuracies in this video. Teddy Mayer worked for McLaren not Brabham. The 1.6 F2 engine was an FVA, the 1 litre formula 3 engine was not a Cosworth engine. This guy is hopeless.

I don't know if the commentary was AI generated but some of it grates. Of course early MK1 Lotus Cortinas had coil spring rear suspension with an A frame. Plus many areas of weight saving which were not mentioned at all.

Interesting presentation. If you had 105hp you were good for racing in those fine days. If you have 105 hp today you are not very good for normal roads. As for the super cars, no one could imagine where their horsepower and speed would reach. We got away, I'd say.

MK I as in the letter "i"? FFS! Also, from the video description: "...and equipping it with Henry Ford's twin camshafts..." It wasn't Henry Ford's camsafts. Henry Ford had been dead for 15 years when the Lotus Twin Cam was designed. The whole twin cam head was, of course, Lotus' design.

It was likely 1955 when I first saw the car and it was "stand there and stare" gorgeous. With a lot of help from my parents I bought a used one in 1957. On the winding "B" roads in southern British Columbia it was outstanding in speed and handling. Then.

Citroen and Lancia in alphabetical order are what Audi claim to be: the most innovative automakers brand, even last BMW 7 series copy some features from "french luxury way" of DS exclusive Citroen brand or what to say on Alcantara first introduced by Lancia. This SM is amazing, but as others said I believe DS is Citroen's masterpiece a true shocking spaceship at her arrival on the market. One last note, I'm italian not a french with "grandeur" illness 😁, but what it is true is just simple true, I always though if I'll buy a collector's car it will be a black DS 21 cabriolet with red leather interior directly from the sixties but with disc brakes, assisted stearing wheel, air condition, electric glass and idraulic suspensions (that saved the life of french President Charles de Gaulle in 1962 despite two flat tyres due to bullets)

There are many Citroens that are exceptional. The DS21 EFI Pallas was fabulous - In Australia I had both DS21 & 23 5 speed EFIs The CX 2400 EFI Prestige 5 speed I had was very different to the DS. Equally fabulous. The series II CX Prestige EFI Turbo was as quick as an SM. Later 3.0 litre Maserati SMs we stunning, quick and mostly reliable. The Top Gear guys all raved about the magnificence of the SMs... The last true Citroen was the C6 V6. Style and substance with exceptional comfort.

The best motor vehicle ever produced was the Citroen DS21 Pallas. The SM does not have anything superior that can be found. In actuality its Maserati Engine was total garbage. The Citroen DS21 4 Cylinder 2.0 Liter Hemi-Head Engine, was able to achieve 120 MPH with Four Passengers.
