On their first day in the Sierra's, Jacob and Andrew attempt to summit, a little known peak yet highly recommended on 2004 online forums, Bear Creek Spire. Just two days out from a grueling effort at the Broken Arrow 46k, Jacobs legs are coming into this trip spent. Check out how this scouting trip goes by watching the video! Silverton // Skiing Hidden Couloirs

Jacob is joined by Stas to explore the Ice Lakes Basin area near Silverton Colorado. Specifically, their goal is to ski a line off Ulysses S Grant peak and another line called Vermillion Dollar. With a chronic lack of beta bordering on irresponsibility, the two decide to get eyes on each couloir and make a decision. Will their eyes prove too big for their skis? Or will they summit something jus...

Jacob is joined by Blaine in the Tetons as they try to summit Mt Moran via the Skillet Glacier, a North American 50 Classic Ski Line. Even with a "late" start (somehow 2:30am is considered late in this part of the country), a questionably frozen lake and a general lack of sharp pointy things...they are determined not to let any of choices made by the 30 people in front of them from ruining thei...

Goblin Valley Quad Canyon Deluxe
Переглядів 5254 місяці тому
Eric and Jacob attempt the much vaunted, highly sought after, divinely inspired route aptly named (by me) the Quad Canyon Deluxe route. This involves traversing Little Wild Horse, Dang, Ding and Bell canyons all in one day. With the help of their secret weapon, Chef Pierre's pastries, the boys hope they'll make it through the dirty water, steep drops and slimy lizards without anyone resorting t...
hi bro, “el nachito se la come” means “el nachito eats it”
Righteous! Thanks for sharing.
Next time do the NE ridge, its way more enjoyable. I roped up and would give it a 5.5, its an amazing scramble. Also bummed I missed seeing y'all at Broken Arrow, I raced fri and sun.
Heard that way was a Sierras classic but we had no ropes! Hopefully able to get out there again soon
If you’re gonna blatently rip off Mediocre Amateur with your name and try to leech their audience, at least try to make the content better. Cheap and lazy strategy 👎
Once my new video of the Eastern Suggondeez Range comes out I bet you'll think differently
The glazing is crazzyyy
Your pointing out of the peaks is wildly bad at 4:18. I'm hoping that's because of the camera angle but north to south it's borah, idaho, leatherman, church,
Great work. Did you end up using crampons or microspikes?
Nope!
Ice lakes basin is spectacular. Even better without 10,000 people. Mid summer the line of cars goes like 2 miles down the road😂
Why is it the most heinous crap happens on the *back end* of a hike? Looked like some serious bushwhacking!
You guys are absolute SAVAGES! New subscriber checking in from Alaska!
Stunning views at the top. Great video. Thanks for sharing. 👍3
Nice drone shots 🤙
Did me dirty
couldn't resist
Fantastic landscape!
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing. Subbed & 👍28
Another rad adventure that I loved wathcing! I am curious, why did you think bringing crampons was the wrong move?
Figured it would be more dangerous getting slowed down by the extra weight and spending way more time out there in warming conditions
"Mid" + hit the summit Griddy = subscribed
Amazing, snowboard boots with no crampons is absolutely insane
Just in the mind 🤪
In my opinion, if you have the flexibility, this is a line worth cherry-picking a weather window to ski/ride in powder. The Skillet in powder may be the best line in North America.
Would come back for this reason. The reason there was so much debris was bc there was a huge dump a few days before :(
@@wannabepro7 yeah if you do it in April it has to be the first clear morning after a storm otherwise it’ll be an avalanche debris nightmare. I’d say the best time for the Skillet is early/mid March. Sun is just too strong in April
Redonk bro!! So stoked!!
Bleach vacation
Unreal man. Great video.
Thanks Porter!
How did you do this without crampons, incredible.
Grit and prayer
Love it!!!! Is the drone pretty cool to have? Mind I ask which one you use?
It's sweet in the few places I can actually legally fly it! I've got the Mavic mini pro 4 with extra batteries
@@wannabepro7 love it!
Oh man, psyched to come across this!! Solo skied all 3 of these with my legendary dog Bruno about 27 years ago...camped out in the trees at the bottom of the Twins...butter not pow when I skied it, but this was fantastic to watch, cheers!
Goodness what a long day! Well done!
Still recovering 🥵
subbed -- looking forward to what you put out next
The next video's gonna be good ;)
Badass dude!
Thanks!
One of the most impressive physical feats I’ve seen and so well documented. Well done and congrats!!!
Much appreciated!!!
Great job.I tried it solo same route ten years ago. One of very few mountains that I did not make the summit.😢 Came across a mountain lion sitting 4 to 6 feet off the trail at 2 am a few miles from the parking lot. Had its back to the water. I probably should have freaked out.But I was too damn tired to care. I definitely need to go back and try it again. Great vid👍
Hi, were you doing it by youself or with a guide? Is it easy to oriente yourself without a guide?
We did it ourselves. Very easy to route find, don't need a guide at that time of the year
Congratulations on the sigle day push! My kind of grind
Thanks!
Wow! This looks like fun! I should like and subscribe!
What class scrambling up there?
Class 4 only at the very top

Ya, what's the cigarette company got to do with this one run in the back woods?
Whyd they call it benson & hedges?

I was in Arizona in October. Such a captivating environment! I’ll never forget how awesome that area is! If you love nature that is lol if you don’t like getting dirty or sweaty… not for you lol
This is Utah!
@@wannabepro7 to anyone on the east half of the country it’s “that area” lol I understand though. Lot of the landscape looks similar is all. Have a good one ✌️
Yeah, you totally missed the easier way down on the first downclimb. It was a bit to the west off the peak. Nice job overall, the ART is an absolute delight. Other than the downclimb I think I actually like it more than the WURL.
I'd say the morning views of timp are pretty awesome but hard to beat the cottonwood traverse on the WURL
@@wannabepro7 Well, if you're going to argue with logic I don't know how to talk to you. Ha. Agreed, the views from the cottonwood ridge are arguably some of the best views in the state. I also love the technicality of it. To be honest, what I love most about the ART is that it doesn't take 28 hours and I don't have to go down the notch off of Lone Peak. Maybe I just have PTSD from the WURL though. Hahahaha.
Wow. Pretty amazing to do that without light for parts of it not on trail. 👍👍👍. New Sub. 👍
We attempted this route in 9/22 but got rained out. Want to go back but haven't scheduled it yet. The last section to the summit looks steep and "spicy", how dangerous is it?
I would say that without snow, it would be a pretty easy class 3.5 scramble. With snow, it was definitely a bit spicy which is why we chose to come down another way.
