FOIL Dock-start into DOWNWIND

On stormy days the river gets extra fun, so if you don't mind some rain and cold, the conditions are epic ! I think it's pretty special to downwind from a dock start, plus, the feeling of downwind foiling with only a small board is very nice ! It's like flying free ! Hey, I want to get more into sup racing and have trained on my normal board and paddle all season. What paddle length do you suggest for 5 km distance racing? I'm 187 and i'm currently using 215 but it seems to long.
Hey bud, as a guide I use my height +8cm (or their abouts) for everything other than Spring races and forehead-height for sprints. That's with the BP HydroFlow X
hello Bruno. being involved in safety at sea for more than 30 years I appreciate your orange cap and top. I was the first to introduce the fluo orange cap and vest in the surfski world. Now being a newbie in SUP I still want to promote more safety. Could you please tell to your bro Daniel to convince Starboard to sell fluo caps and lycra shirt with their logo and brand name. I already got in contact with Chris Couve at Starboard’s HQ on that topic. Thank you Bruno. I live at Phuket . where I know Daniel comes from time to time.

Great video Bruno! It looks like you may have had a nice audience. Do you foil up river? If so can you paddle back with the current for a relaxing trip back? The Axis PNG 1300 is high on my list for my next purchase. Your kit looks dialed in. May I ask what mast, fuselage and rear wing you have? I am 77kg right now, I am a bit lighter in the summer. Are you about the same size? Thanks for any feedback. 🙂

Cool, I love creative turns and creative paddlers. I wonder about your board... seams to bee hollow, isn't it? And is it cool for big waves an downwind, too? It seems to bee very light...is this an issue for you in big cable waves?
It's the Xbionic BR'1 and it's a structural hollow board ;) at the moment the weight is around 8.6 to 9.5 kgs so pretty light.

How is the camera mounted? I shoot with Insta360 One X, and have made some custom mounts, but can't figure this one out. During the front views it seems to be dipping with the paddle stroke - but the mount is completely invisible! Some kind of belt?
Hi David, I made it with the harnes and the invisible selfie stick pointing forward. I have the harnes under my clothes and only the selfie stick with the camera, right in front of me. 🤙🤙
