Hi! My Instrument is a copy of an Eduard Bauer keyed trumpet made by Günter Hett. I use a mouthpiece made after the sketches in Andreas Nemetz’s keyed trumpet method. Which kind of instrument did you acquired? From 1920 it’s very unlikely to be a keyed trumpet …
@@Pedrohsrs oh but I thought the trumpet you're playing in the video was an alto rotary trumpet in Eb, not a keyed trumpet (maybe I'm/you're referring the wrong video)... Anyway I found my instrument was an alto flugelhorn so the mouthpiece that fits better is an alto horn one.

Hi! No, it’s not a regular modern trumpet mouthpiece. I’ve used a natural trumpet mouthpiece, because I believe it suits historically better the piece, since Weidinger was actually a very skilled natural trumpeter. But there are mouthpieces specifically made for the keyed trumpet. Normally these mouthpieces are used for later keyed trumpet repertoire, such as the Italian and bohemian pieces from the beginning of the 19th century. These mouthpiece have a much deeper cup and throat.
I recently played this for a performance on trumpet, Hayden's Trumpet Concert 1st movement. I also played the second movement around 2 months ago at another performance, and I am yet to play the third movement. the way you played it is unique, and I like it. good job 👍and especially on this type of trumet, I haven't seen it before, I am guessing it is an older version of a trumpet lol
Hi! Yes, that is the Instrument which Haydn composed the concerto for! The trumpet with valves, as we know today, was only created around 1815!
